An Evening in the Garden

I have discovered a new favorite place...Danelle and I decided to make our long-talked-about trip up to the gardens for an evening picnic.  The weather was just lovely and the fellowship even lovlier. =)  God has blessed me with lovely friends!

Ah yes...so I brought some lovely ahem, sparkling juice. It had a cork in the top. Yes indeed. I've never had to open a corked bottle before. So the challenge ensued...

Nope. Teeth don't work.

There's gotta be a corkscrew in here somewhere...

Okay, I look totally silly here, but Godiva chocolate cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory is worth getting  silly over! Thank you Danelle!!!!

Now it's portrait time! If I were a professional photographer, I'd be bringing families, children, brides, couples here all the time!  We saw two different photographers there that evening doing engagement sessions. Gorgeous...the possibilities are endless!

And one of two pictures we got together (both self-portraits!). =D

And the evening ended with a GORGEOUS sunset! What a spectacular show we had! Thank you Lord for the "private viewing"!

Baby Grant

Grant was born with Turner's Syndrome...most babies with Turner's don't live past one week. Grant just turned 6 months old.

I clean house for his family and see him every week.  He's absolutely beautiful! I decided to start bringing my camera and just trying to capture him because before long, it's all that his family will have to remember him by. One of his lungs is collapsed and he has a hole in his heart. His mother says that basically, it's like he's constantly running a marathon- that's how hard his heart is working.  He's quite a fighter...every day is a gift.

Please pray for this precious little boy and his family.  His mother is so loving and dedicated. She has to be with him 24/7. They almost lost him twice last week. He is a miracle baby anyway as his mom had cancer between the last child who is now 10 (I think) and little Grant.  It's amazing she was able to have another one.
