Seattle

Had some free time so decided to elaborate on this post.

Went to Seattle this past weekend to visit Brandi, Tom, Monty and Baby Tommy (Brandi & Tom's newborn). Left early on Friday morning and got there mid-afternoon (Seattle time). Was really happy that it wasn't raining when I got there. Met up with Monty on Saturday at a Market Place. At the market place, there were a lot of stands selling extremely gorgeous daffodils. I really wanted to buy some but didn't think it'll last the flight back. :( Was planning to visit the Underground city and Space Needle but didn't get a chance though. It was just a peaceful weekend with friends.

Even though the flights were long and exhausting, I really enjoyed the travel and Monty got me a pair of really pretty earrings from the market place. Only complaint I have is that.. Las Vegas airport is way too big!!! Almost missed my connecting flight because I had to run across the whole airport to get from B Gates to C Gates, AND go through security again. Didn't even have time to deposit some coins into the attractive slot machines.. T_T

Highlight of the Month!!!

Saw George Clooney after work on Wednesday.  He was filming for a movie called Michael Clayton (not sure of spelling) at the 1st precinct.  He's quite handsome I have to say.  Including the time I saw Bruce Willis in Chinatown, that's a total of 2 stars I have seen in New York City.

What is a xanga page without a weekend post.

Saturday.. Listen to the more spontaneous side of me and went snowboarding with Tommy.  Was hestitant to go at first since it was also my Sister's birthday.  However, since Camelback wasn't too far away and Tommy said we can leave early, I decided to go.  Got up at around 4:30am (Yay for 4 hours of sleep!) to get ready.  Arrived at the mountain at 8ish (We got a bit lost...), met up with his co-workers and friends, went thru rental (Camelback has crappy equipment!), geared up and went straight to the bunny slopes.  By the time we got to the  first bunny slope, I was sweating already.  It was a very warm and sunny day so the snow was slushy.  Then we snapped onto our boards and went down.  I fell after about 10 feet (of course).  The fall wasn't really painful but.. I couldn't get up!  After a long struggle with some help, finally got up and tried again.  Went to the 2nd bunny slope after a few rounds on the 1st one.  I have to say.. I'm not so bad at snowboarding!  =P   Tommy was quite good.  The 2nd slope was about the same but twice as long.  After about another hour or so, Tommy and his guy friends went  off on their own to the more advance slopes while the girls stayed on the 2nd bunny until lunch time.  After a very quick bite, Tommy took me to the green slopes.  It was actually a double green!  that liar... Was afraid at first but went down slowly and I mean REALLY slowly so it was ok.  Went to another double green afterwards which was much easier.  Tommy got bored and went off on his own.  Which was great cause I really needed a break.  Was soo tried and in quite some pain.  Ended the day at the 2nd bunny slope trying to make turns since I didn't know how.. :(  It was a nice day.  Fell lots, got some bruises and a sunburn , but had lots of fun.

Sunday.. Didn't do much during the day but went out for an old friend's birthday dinner.  It was nice seeing Howard again.  He was quite surprised to see me since we haven't seen each other in ages.  Chatted and talked about old times.  I was never very close to him so I was a bit quiet during the night.

Overall, a good weekend.  Hopefully next weekend would be just as good or better.  =)
