We stopped in a small town on our horseback ride and this is in the town's central park.

I would highly recommend this place...beautiful.

Our room is directly behind Suz...cute little hut. Our room was right on the beach, I don't really know how we worked that out.

Fun in Mexico

Yesterday, Suz and I went Kyaking and laid on the beach. Today, we started off by going horseback riding and then snorkeled. We just finished with the best massage ever. Here are a few pics from our stay.

It was my turn to cook at Suzanna's friday night so I decided we would have Mexican food and celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

Yes, that is the pinata. I made it out of brown paper bags, duck tape, and newspaper. It was tough to break, you can see the bat and broom handle we bent in the process.

Colorado

Just returned from Colorado...Jenna and I had great time. I really don't know if we should be allowed to travel together...we laughed a lot and did some crazy things (at least they were crazy/funny to us).

On our way through Kansas we saw a sign that said, "See a 6 legged steer and 6,000 lb prairie dog" how could we pass up this opportunity? We were so sad when we arrived at Prairie Dog Town and it was closed, looks like it had been closed for awhile. I guess 6 legged steer and 6,000 lb prairie dogs don't live long...

Upon suggestion by Jenna's dad we stopped in Burlington, Colorado to see an old Carousel. The Kit Carson Carousel was built in 1905 and for 25 cents you can still ride it. The carousel still had its original paint and the animals do not go up and down but stay stationary. But it was closed as well. However, we did take a self portrait at the park.

After many hours in the car we came across the following sign:

Of course we had to find out what this point of interest was so we continued and found the following. We were somewhat disappointed. Supposedly you can see 6 states from the tower that is behind me and to the left. However, we were in the middle of Colorado..we are still trying to figure this one out. This was as close as we got the "Point of Interest" it looked a little shady to us.

Colorado recently received tons of snow. The snow was still left along the side of the road so Jenna and I stopped for a quick snow ball fight...in April!

On Saturday night we had dinner with three great friends from college, Jolee, Andrea, and Sarah in Colorado Springs. Unfortunately, we were so caught up into catching up with them that I failed to take a picture. :(

On Sunday Jenna, Jolee, Andrea, and I went to the Royal Gorge. We were 1,053 feet in the air on the world's highest suspended bridge. Below us was the Arkansas River. It was a little scary whenever a car drove on the bridge it would shake you could also see through through the cracks in the bridge...it was a long way down.

We also went to the bottom of the Royal Gorge on the Incline Railway. They put you in a cage and you descend to the bottom at about 3-4mph, much like an elevator. This was my favorite. We ended the day with a nice meal:

This morning Jenna and I headed to Denver to deliver her car but made a stop at the US Air Force Academy. We were kind of bummed because 2 of the 3 cadets that we saw out running were women...just our luck. We did however look around and looked inside the chapel.

We had a wonderful trip and it was great to see some old friends. I have many more pictures, when I have time I will post more. For now I must sleep.
