BUILDERING

well climbing indoors is a lot of fun and teaches you a lot of the necessary skills in order to do more.  while mountains look exciting i can't say i have that many near my house.  so the idea of buildering has been in the back of my mind since day 1.  buildering is like rock climbing but you climb man made structures. so i went to the rock gym today, beat up my hands pretty good, didn't do any new problems, and left kind of blah. so i came home and the rain had let up.  well eveer since i was a kid there was a wall at the school by my house that i have always wanted to climb.  it's pretty nice because it actually has small grips all the way up the wall and it isn't super high.  so i decided to a little adventure by myself, with no crash mats.  maybe not such a good idea but i was pretty confident that i could climb it.  well it was easy and i did climb it.  i plan on going back to video tape it since it was my first buildering experience.  maybe it was mad easy, but i think you should start somewhere comfortable with something like this.  below are the pictures from my first buildering experiece. (the hardest part was pulling my camera out of my pants at the top)

hopefully there will be more difficult experiences posted

so matte got me involved in indoor rock climbing.  it's a lot of fun.  bouldering is so challenging.  anyways last night i kept trying to get this one problem, and the grip was pretty bad@ss.  so on my last try, my left hand slipped off and it rip off a chunk of my skin.  below is a picture.
