Hi everyone! If everyone's life is an open book, then mine must have been a series of books. This particular installment was slammed shut by my husband. In February of 2002, just seven days before my daughter's birthday, he kicked us out of our home and his life. A couple of months after that I found out that he had moved his girlfriend and her kids in on my daughter's birthday!!!  What a jerk, right?!!!  I guess my revenge is that the kids and I are doing just fine and dandy without that loser in our lives! So, with that said, I'm not going to be using 'Two Wolves' any more. Please follow me to my new blog;       http://www.xanga.com/tazmaniangold

Wow, it's been so long since my last entry. Things were happy back then! Since that time, a lot has happened. The most important and most painful thing being this:

My 'loving' husband decided that he had some major problems with our marriage. Last February, right before my daughter's birthday, he asked me and my kids to move out. The only explanation given? He wanted/needed to be alone for a while. In the last four months, we've seen him maybe five times. For the most part, he only calls if he's mad at me for some reason. He didn't try to contact my daughter, in any way, on her birthday. She was so crushed!

How does one explain why this is happening, when no explanation has been offered by him? Even though I asked for reasons at first, he said he "didn't know why, this is just what is needed."

Any way, things were VERY difficult financially up until a week ago. Minimum wage jobs just aren't enough to pay rent and all the other expenses involved with being a single parent. (No divorce yet, but same difference) I finally landed a better job last week and am hoping to get the last four months' worth of bills caught up.

The hardest part of this whole situation is trying to stay on an emotional even keel for myself and my daughter. All in all, life has been pure hell for the last few months. Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I know, I deserve a wet noodle lashing for not posting here for so long. The only excuse I have is beautiful, springtime temperatures! I have spent almost no time on my computer for nearly a month now. With the sun shining bright and temps in the 70 and 80 degree range, can you blame me? It's the time of year for me to spend lots of time outside. Spring-fever is running rampant in my house right now and the only cure is that warm sunshine on your face!!!

I was laying in bed last night, watching a movie with my hubby, and petting one of my cats. Out of the corner of my eye, I see my other cat trotting out the bedroom door with one of my husband's socks in her mouth. (This cat is a real pack-rat!) Well, the chase was on. Hubby and I chased this cat around the house for nearly an hour, trying to retrieve the sock. What I can't figure out is why this little feline only likes to steal my husband's socks, and then only when they're dirty! Believe me, he has to have the smelliest feet on the block!  Well, I guess that this particular cat is just trying to live up to her name: Pecanu, which is Shawanese for 'nuts'.

Happy springtime, everyone!

The last week has been one of the most stressful, around my little corner of the world.

Monday afternoon my father went in for the second surgery required to make his pacemaker fully functional. When the doctor came out of the operating room, he told us (this is an exact quote) "Well, there's no turning back now. We've just killed the top half of the heart so that the pacemaker will be able to work the bottom half of the heart without interference." The only words that we heard, at first, were "we've just killed the top half of the heart." We almost strangled that doctor!!! After we calmed down enough to be able to ask questions, things were explained more thoroughly. When I finally understood a little of what had happened, I let the doctor know that I felt he had been very cold-hearted with his first description of what they did. He knew, without a doubt, that I was very angry with him. I told him that, in my opinion, he should do some serious work on his 'bedside manner!' He couldn't apologize enough, but unfortunately that didn't help to alleviate the initial fear that he had planted!

Tuesday, we brought Dad home. He was terribly tired and exhausted from the surgery. (At least that's what we thought was making him so weary!)

Wednesday morning, he had an appointment with his family physician. We found out then that the anesthesia used for his surgery had thrown him into a case of double pneumonia. ARGH!!!!!!! He would need daily shots of antibiotics as well as other antibiotics in pill form. To our surprise, Dad was still allowed to go back to work Wednesday afternoon. Of course, being the stubborn person that he is, he did exactly that!

Skip to Friday and Saturday. Due to the stress, I believe, tempers were getting pretty short in my house. Things got so bad between hubby and I that he left Saturday. Panic city!!! I thought for sure that our marriage was over. Sunday afternoon, he came home and, with the guidance of a terrific friend, we talked things out. The ground between us is still a little shaky, but we will work through it.

I have never heard anyone say this before but, I'm so glad it's Monday!!! :-)  The start of a new and, hopefully, better week!!

This may sound like a really dumb question but;

Does anyone know how to get a Xanga email address? I see the email option on the left side of my page, so why can't I figure out what my Xanga email addy is, if I already have one?

I am drawing a blank here. Guess I'm just having one of those air-headed days! :-)
