| She doesn't know who GANDALF is!My cousin Sarah and I went and saw Sydney White last night. I wasn't expecting much, but I figured it might be cute. I laughed and laughed. Instead of Snow White and the 7 Dwarves, it's Sydney White and the Seven Dorks. My favorite part is when they're all talking about Rachel Witchburn (the witch), and Sydney is trying to convince the dorks to stand up to her. The deciding factor is when she says "I bet she doesn't even know who Gandalf is!" This movie also makes fun of Greek life. Sydney tries to join Kappa because her mother was in it when she was in college. During hazing all the girls are doing jumping jacks and Rachel asks Sydney "What are the colors of Kappa" She replies "Green and White" "Wrong! It's emerald and pearl!" "I'm sorry. I'm still learning how to speak priss." Any movie that has funny dorks and makes fun of Greeks is alright by me. | | |
| I was watching Gilmore Girls, and ABC had a commercial where you're supposed to tape your best family dinner moment and send it in to win some prize. Here's what I imagined my family would send in. Dad: "Let's pray, my darlings" *Jonathan and Rachel see who can squeeze the other's hand harder during prayer* Bethany (while singing, because Bethany sings all the time): "please pass the corn" Jonathan steals Micah's milk while he's not paying attention. Mom: "Did I forget something? Tell me if I forgot anything" Maisie makes her away to under Jon's feet. Jonathan takes a drink of milk Bethany plans a joke and Jonathan has milk come out of his nose. Mom gets up in a huff "Why do I even bother?" Micah: "I need more milk..." | | |
| So today I was just having one of those days where I'm totally out of it... I was sitting in Physics Lab, and I wanted to know what time it was. I looked at where the clock usually is and said "that's a really weird clock!" All the people around me looked at me and laughed...it was a circular thermometer. darn it... It's weird who you run into...We were writing down names of our lab group members and when I said my name, this one guy looked at me funny. He said "bethany Green's sister?" !!! seriously...how weird is that. He graduated with my sister at Borger. I'm trying to decide whether or not to pledge Alpha Phi Omega. It's a service organization at Tech, but I just can't get over the fact that it's a co-ed fraternity. | | |
| Long live the Queen!! I had my ipod on random (or whatever that technical term is) and Colors of the Wind came up. I suddenly had an urge to go and canoe and sing the song on the top of my lungs...did that stupid grandma tree bother anyone else? I have been released from my prison of resting all the time! I can actually do things and work out. Therefore, I abdicate my thrown as Queen of monoland... I will let some other unfortunate soul take the crown and enjoy his or her reign. (i know that's proper grammar but a guy cannot be Queen of monoland....and stop calling me sexist. it's just the way it is) It has been a pleasure to be queen...a lot of tv has been watched, many z's have been captured, and the plague of allergic reactions to medicine has been overcome. long live the Queen! | | |
