Well another 300 years has passed by so I thought I would update again. 

This week has been amazing!  The weather has been insane, but beyond the snow in October --- this week has challenged my life in so many ways.  I am leading a small group that has amazing diversity from life time believers to new followers of Christ ... I love diving into God's word and exploring scriptures with a group of people that are reading it for the first time - there is something so incredible about their questions.  I also caught up with some amazing friends this week --- there are some people that we should keep in our lives ... I am glad I was able to "reconnect."

Finally ... an update!

Ok --- so for anyone who might actually be looking at this ... this update is just for you!!!  Basically all is great.  I miss so many people and need to call so many of you all.

It is summer for all of you CBCers ... so enjoy the break --- take a walk and by all means ... do something totally fun!

Michigan is a wonderful world.  I am helping plant a church (check it out) --- it is so exciting.  Our first small groups start tomorrow night --- we are calling them RealGroups.  This first group is for beginning believers (some will make commitments to Christ during these few weeks ...) 

I love being in a place where God is drawing new believers to His side ... there is something so challenging and encouraging about seeing people come to know Jesus for the first time ...

OK ... the entry below this one is an update about my life and everything with my family ...

THIS on the other hand is just some random thoughts I've been thinking about ... and need to share with whoever ...

There have been so many natural and manmade disasters in the last 12 months ... all of us are more aware of our world and the constant violent nature of humanity since September 11th ... if Revelation is the center of our current world ... my goodness ... what is it going to take to "Awake the Sleeping Giant"  --- I read an e-mail from some missionary friends ... they are in need of workers ... and now that they have found a few to help they can't get their visas to go through ... the Bible talks about the harvest being so great and the workers being so few --- has that ever not been the case?  In such a time as we are living --- where we KNOW the sin in humanity --- why does it take someone like Oprah to capture wanted child molesters and furnish homes for the hurricane victims ... who is reaching people's souls ... have I? 

It is easy to walk the halls of CBC for four years ... it is another thing to rest my head on my pillow --- knowing that everyone that works at my work --- none of them know GOD!  It is hard to establish relationships ... to wait patiently for their hearts to soften as I try my best to be the Jesus, maybe the only Jesus they may ever find ... their are strains with the new store manager --- and it hard to fight the frustrations of the change ... it is so important ... to implement all that I know ... we hear it preached everyday at CBC ... find someone and tell them about JESUS ... go to WALMART ... do what you have to DO ... just spread the GOSPEL ...

I have been asked if I ever see myself going full-time on staff ... aka not working to "support my ministry habits" ... I answered with a possible yes ... but now I am not sure --- if at least part of the time I can constantly be given so many hours a week or a day with lost people ... guaranteed ... why would stop that?  It's adult version of the "Your School - Your Mission Field" ... "My work ... MY MISSION FIELD"

There is a lost and dieing world out there ... we have to a light ... not just at Wal-Mart ... but everywhere ... anywhere ... starting somewhere ...

Well I went to MI --- came home ... and MOM went into the hospital --- it has been crazy!!  It was a tough week last week ... I worked over 40hrs, helped with the kids, stayed at the hospital ... and had to make some pretty major decisions ... all in all things are starting out much better this week ...

Mom --- she is now home ... she went to the ER for extreme abdominal pain ... they drugged her, did an MRI, helped her with a major allergic reaction she had to the meds and sent her home ... not finding anything.  The next day she called her Dr and she sent mom to the Hospital for a 23hr observation --- 1wk and 1dy later ... she came home!  She was given multiple tests, lots of blood work, minor procedures and more ... Friday they went in to remove her gall bladder, with the hopes that it was the source of the problem (despite ALL of the tests saying that wasn't it) ... the other portion was that if the GB was not it ... they would completely open her up and start exploring until they found the problem ... worry does not begin to explain the agony!!!  All I could thing about was all the stuff on CSI --- where they just dig and dig until they find the cause of death and the game operation ... neither was comforting!!  THANK THE LORD --- they did not have to open her up!!  They removed her GB and some scare tissue from another procedure and now she is back at 85% of her normal ... charge ahead and conquer the world ... life style!

Leslie ... many of you know that she is having a difficult pregnancy ... please continue to pray for her ... I am very worried about everything ... she is doing better ... but I think she is just tired of laying around and is forcing herself to be active ... which may not be the best thing ... she also started receiving nutrients via IV ... this can cause all kinds of side effects, but she is still loosing weight and not able to eat anything ... 2 rolls from O'Charley's for the day --- cannot sustain anyone ... let alone a mother with 3 kids and baby #4 on the way ... continue to pray for her ...

Stefanie ... everyone is always asking about my sweet sister!!!  She is doing well ... one of her friends relocated to Chicago a couple of years ago and will be in town the weekend of the 22 --- so she is totally excited ... she is also helping a mom with new twin boys and an older son that will be 4 in December --- she enjoys it so much!!!  With me working so much and everything happening with Leslie and now mom ... she has been the backbone of our family --- she has made sure everyone is well taken care of ... she is amazing ... and truly one of my heroes!!!
