| On the Move!!Well folks the time has come. It's
been a great run here at UbiquityClothing but we must get a
moving. Time to come into our own and be born again... From here out the little t-shirt company you all came to know and love as UbiquityClothing will be no more. Make way for Like Minded People. You
might be saying, "But hey, wait a minute. I'm an
individual!" Indeed, you are, but if you've made your way here
then at least this much is true: there's lots of other folks out
(t)here that are in like mind with you, that feel what we're
doing here. So rather than separate ourselves along the lines of our
independence, let's celebrate our community through what we
collectively dig. Dig? Whether it be the ever-growing
movement of mixed folks everywhere or our appreciation of reggae and
soul music, be it the love we have for people who vote, our respect for
history's revolutionaries or claiming pride in our herritages and
reping where we're from, we're all connected, baby.
So redirect yourselves and all your peoples to Like Minded People. See something you like? Drop us a line and it's yours. It's still that easy. Like Minded People. clothing for the conscious... | | |
| GOT Votes!
|
|
Well folks what are you gonna do? Bush? Kerry? How about NOT BUSH?
That's where we're at. These are serious times, and yes, we're all
dead tired of hearing it everywhere we turn but that's the nature of
serious things. They're that important that we
can't help but keep talking and talking and talking, and hopefully,
ultimately, doing. So this is what we're
doing. GOT Votes! (that's Get Out The Votes, in
case you were wondering...)
We want to encourage everyone who is able to vote to vote, and this is
our most direct way of making sure that happens. We're offering these
shirts on a sliding scale, and whatever you decide to pay above our
production costs will be donated to the cause of making sure George W.
does not return to office. Procedes will be donated to ACT. Americans Coming Together
is the one of the most mobilized groups actively working to sway those
swing-state voters. In fact,a close friend of ours, Robbie Borton, is
on his way to Ohio as this is being written, where he will stay and
work until November 2nd, doing his part to keep this great(ly
endangered) land from remaining under the control of Mr. Bush, Mr.
Cheney, Halliburton and all the other politricks in D.C. Now that's
dedication.
Whatever you can afford from $7 on up will go directly to
helping ACT continue
their great work in the areas that can will be most effective come
November 2nd. And if you haven't already, please declare yourself, register to vote! So, are you down for the cause? |

UbiquityClothing's Good Ol' BBQ/CookOut/PotLuck/PrintFest
Last weekend we held the first (of hopefully many) open-studio community
gatherings. Tons of folks rolled through to check out the artistic
progress, process and recent launch of UbiquityClothing. It was truly
a great event. Many thanks to everyone who made it possible and much
love to the folks who were there with us *in spritit*; you all have to
make it to the next one.
Many new designs were debuted that afternoon including the new "Land
of my People" line, Mr. Marvin Gaye, and the "I love people who Vote
--> down for the cause" politic-tee...pictures and graphics to be
posted soon......
In all it was a wonderful kick-off event for Ubiquity, and possible the
*last* event for the company under it's current incarnation; a new name
popped up in the oh-so-random hey-I-like-the-sound-of-that sort of
way. But that's still to come...

 | One
month ago Jamie missioned up to Humboldt County to experience possibly
the greatest reggae festival this side of Montego Bay. There he met
many a dread and rasta, all there for one thing: the enjoyment of life
through the reggae rhythm. He brought with him a special assortment of
shirts featuring reggae producer-great Augustus Pablo, the
steady-rocking boys of Steel Pulse and the extra special somethings for
the ladies, our signature Sister Nancy "What a Bam Bam" racer-back
tanks and cap-sleeve tops. There were even a couple one-of-a-kind
halters and color variations. You lucky few know who you are. Even
luckier for all you, we are making all these and more available to the
greater reggae massive.
