  • WOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!! Has it really been since 2006? My last post?... MY last post? That's some craziness right there.

    Let's recap a whole year:
    1. I am engaged to be wed to the fairest maiden of all the land on June 7, 2008. Uberexcited!
    2. I am the front man of the successful Christian rock magnificence, Running Back to Glory (this is a band).
    3. I laid down a pride at the feet of Jesus for Him to pick up and carry with me, and I have never felt lighter; a pride that said, "I can do things on my own without anyone's help." But God showed me that this "Kingdom" thing is not... a one man show.
    4. I have illnesses but am coping.
    5. I recently found my two weeks lost, favorite Bible to study from. Seriously... this is a victory.
    6. I can't figure out how to get my roommates digital camcorder to communicate with my Macbook...?
    7. I know things.
    8. I've learned things.
    9. I've discovered an affinity of mine for really old books.
    10. ALWAYS gotta have a number 10!

That's the year in retrospect. Pretty good. 2008 has begun very well, minus the sickly part. Don't worry for all of you reading this... I'm not contagious : ) It's some kind of bacterial infection called Collitis. It is associated with my IBS. If you don't know what any of that means or is then, I will summarize in simpler words: I have perpetual poops, except with Collitis. With Collitis, I have perpetual pukes as a result of the inability to perpetually poop! It's rough, I'm tellin' ya! But I'm okay.

I'm also writing a book right now. That's pretty exciting, huh? Maybe... somewhat? Maybe you'll find it exciting later... The book is called REMOVE YOUR SHOES. The title of the book is the same as the title of Running Back to Glory's first album, REMOVE YOUR SHOES. It's basically a book of song stories. Each chapter is titled and numbered by each song on the cd, and I explain in a detailed paper display the story behind each and every song on the cd. Then, I relate that song back to the theme of REMOVE YOUR SHOES.

What I'm finding to be uberfascinating in my studies of shoes in the Bible is the fact that the concept of removing them doesn't really stop at the whole holy ground thing. I believe we've missed something. Something that God intended to tell us about why we can be in bare feet around Him and not have to worry about stubbing our toes (a phenomenon common to me and one that I have labeled, Chronic Stoes Disorder (Stub + Toes = Stoes)) or raking our delicate and sensitive feet across the vicious, unforgiving earth... or maybe I'm just intrigued by all of it. Either way, I think it's going to be one fantastic journey. When the book comes out, I think it would be worth adding to your mind or at least your shelf (don't jump to your plastic (not real money) money (real money) just yet because I'm still in the writing process... could be quite a while before it's available for your retinal pleasure).

I wish to resume the xangage. It's fun and relaxing to me. I'm very sorry to all of you that I took off like I did. I probably hurt a lot of friends that I had made on here... I'm very sorry. Sometimes life just throws you corners and left hooks, and Satan makes you think you're busier than you are... or perhaps that you aren't busy enough when you already are. Just know that I am sorry, and I would love to hear from all of you. If it was to ever happen again (realistically, this is a possibility... I mean will xanga be here when my 23 year old self hits 50...?), I leave you this email address where I will get your messages. It may take me forever to respond, but I will definitely get them:

  • My thoughts...

"I'm so tired of people judging me: judging my motives for my music, judging every step that I take.  I'm so tired of people saying that I'm doing something wrong and then doing the same thing.  I'm so tired of people judging me: judging the way I talk, judging the way I spend my days for God.  Who are they to judge me?  They that do the same or even worse than I.  Is not God the judge?  I'm so..."

"I'm so tired of judging other people: judging their inquiries about my motives in my music career, judging their concern.  I'm so tired of saying that someone is doing something wrong and then doing the same things they do.  I'm so tired of judging other people: judging the way they talk, judging the way they spend their days for God.  Who am I to judge?  I who do the same things or even worse than they.  Is not God the judge?  I'm so..."

"I'm so human...Lord forgive me for trying to be the judge of your people..."

    Ya'll'ses bro in Christ,
