Very Short Garden Update

The rain has stopped and the sun is supposed to shine for the next few days, which should be great for the newly planted seeds and seedlings.

Today, I planted morning glories (Heavenly Blue, Star of Yalta, which are purple, and a mix of white, pink, and purple) and moon vine along the fence by the road. There are already cosmos and sweet peas growing in that general area, but the morning glories and moonvine will bloom for much more of the growing season.

Glad to be reading your garden updates.

That book looks interesting. We have such a small backyard, and with spring just about here, I wonder if it's took late to parcel out even a small bit of soil for a garden. Hmmm.

You should still have plenty of time to garden up north -- and the book does have some terrific ideas. Most ask for a 10 ft. square that gets good sun, but they are worth the space. There are some good ideas for containers, too -- our library has this book and yours might, too, if you want to check it out. If you decide to do some gardening, I'd love to hear about what you do!

My morning glories are coming up already -- in my greens patch! Oh noooooooooooo. Maybe I can figure out a way to just let them grow upwards.
