| | It's about time that I update this blog. A lot has happened since the
last time I updated. Hmmm I don't even know where to begin. First and
foremost, I guess I should start with the Seattle trip that me and Qi
went to over the past weekend. We had a blast. We had a great start to
the morning as we went to IHop for a good hardy breakfast before
heading down the highway to the Peace Arch. It helped that the weather
was great too. Instead of going to the Premium Outlets, we went
straight to Bellevue Square Mall to pick up a bag from Banana. That
mall never ceases to confuse me (the layout that is). Following that,
we went to downtown Seattle to do some more shopping. Our first stop?
Banana Republic again of course :D. It's always good to take advantage
of the strong CAD along with the nice discount. The Banana on Pike
Street is absolutely amazing. It's HUGE! Not only that, they had a lot
more product than we have in Vancouver. After making a few big
purchases, we went ahead and gased up. Normally the RSX would take
about... say... 48-50$ per fillup here? Well, we basically filled up
with 20$ US. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised :D While we
went across the boarder, we were prepared to lie about the dollar value
of our purchases but the guy didn't even take a look at our
identification. Why do I feel so safe here in Canada?  Other than that, me and Qi also fed Swan from our hands. 21 years of living and that was our first time hehe.
Work has started for me. It's a big group starting with me this fall at
KPMG. The company is growing and that's pretty obvious. Still, it's
hard not to feel a little out of place. I'm the ONLY recruit who hasn't
graduated yet it seems. I'm also the youngest. But anyway, it's been a
great week. Free breakfast, lunch, drinks, coffee, what else do I need
hehe. So far we haven't done much other than sitting and listening to
introductions from each business line from within the company. Next
week they are also sending us off to Parksville for training and a lot
of drunken fun (hey, they said it). It should be fun :D Getting paid to
get drunk, I'd take that anyday!
