I moved out to Fargo, North Dakota at the beginning of June and have lived here for almost three months.  In that time, I have moved again to a different apartment.  It has been a great learning experience for myself.

<more to come...

There have been many wonderful things that have happened this year thus far.  This semester has just flown by.  I can't even imagine we are nearing so close to the end.

Only one more Hall Council meeting left, only 4 more hall programs, finals week just around the corner- this is just craziness.  It seems like just yesterday I moved in.

It snowed on Saturday a few inches.  That made it feel like winter, so did the windy weather last week.  I don't particularly enjoy winter for many reasons.  This week is the Real World Week in Crabtree where we are devoting the week to Diversity programming.  I am excited for it and hope for it to be a success.  We are heading to the Mall of America on Friday with Parker Hall which is a program I always enjoy and the residents seem to as well.

Classes are winding down and I am happy to be done with most.  International Business is interesting and I have really enjoyed my time in this class, probably one of my favorites.  I/O Psych is interesting, but the exams are hard.  I feel like I have learned a lot.  My listening skills class has been a joke, as well as quite boring, but it is fun having class with Shelby and Jen.  Small Group is a beast and I am pleased to see it is coming to an end very soon.  The professor is a sweet lady, the class is just a struggle.  I am slowly finishing my portfolio for my Senior Portfolio class as well.

Next semester I look to be taking... Strategic Management, Intercultural Communication, Business Ethics, Psychology of Prejudice and Racism and Aerobics.  It should be an interesting semester.

I am tired.  Thanksgiving break is in my reach ...  just one paper, one huge exam, one more day and I am done.  I couldn't be more ready.

I have found mice in my apartment.  I have not lived in there since the discovery last Tuesday.  I am frustrated by there inability to be trapped...what elusive creatures they are.

I only write when I procrastinate.  I am procrastinating writing and studying.

I went to my first professional football game yesterday.  I saw the Packers play.  They won.  I saw Brett Favre through a touchdown pass in person, 3 of them to be exact.  It was cold- they sure pack you together.

This entry isn't really going anywhere...so I'll stop.

The school year has been busy.  Classes have been time consuming.  Crabtree Hall is going well... minus this mice episode.

I/O Psych exam tomorrow...blah

It seems as though many of my buddies are moving on to bigger and more exciting things.  I am very happy for them whether it be a move to the mountains or off to France.  I know our friendships will stay strong, but I will miss them dearly.  I am glad we are in the age of global communication being capable through a strong cyber network.  Thank you, Internet.  Coincidentally two of them are both beginning their adventures this week.  I wish them happy travels!

I have one week left of my job as of tomorrow.  That means six days and counting.  I am pleased about this and excited to get back in the halls.  I still have much to get done in preparation though.  I plan on seeing an allergist in the upcoming weeks as well to see if we can work out a different plan for myself.  I have been no stranger to the medical world this summer.  My nose has been irritated for awhile and after three trips to the doctor, and three different antibiotics. I am hoping we have this down.  I know have the peculiar habit of wiggling my nose due to this which some referred to as endearing, or a bit like Samantha from Bewitched... you make the call.

I contemplated switching over to blogspot recently from XANGA, for it looks more mature and all that jazz.  XANGA is just so exciting to say, I don't know if I can make the move quite yet.

I am going to enjoy my cheddar goldfish and watch the news.  Bon suis mi amie.

The school year quickly ended and summer has been in full swing for awhile now.  I took a week break at the culmination of the school year after a stressful last few days.  It was sad to say good bye to a year that brought me so much joy and many new experiences.  A new puppy has arrived in my family fondly named Sparky.  He is a ball of energy and enjoys biting every inch of skin on my body.

My summer employment involves being a Student Assistant in the Human Resources Office on campus at UWRF.  It is interesting to see a different perspective on University Administration.  I spend my days making copies, doing various projects, filing the inordinate amount of paperwork that comes through, and running various errands.  The time goes by semi-quickly, and it beats some of the other summer positions I have held in the past.  I have had a relaxing time enjoying my summer and the slow pace of everything, but I do miss the exciting energy working in the halls had to offer.  I have gotten in many tennis matches, dinners, outings, Lynx games, and other activities that have made summer quite enjoyable thus far.  I turned 22 last week and it seems surreal that I am this age already.  I feel like just yesterday I graduated from high school.  Summer has also brought the opportunity for me to spend a lot of time at home on the weekends.  During the school year I didn’t not get to go home much, so I have taken full advantage of the freedom to do so now.

I am still interested in possibly going to Graduate School in the field of Higher Education Administration.  I am looking at two programs right now at the University of Minnesota and St. Thomas.  The U of M requires the GRE, which is something I am not too excited about.  It is something I will have to study for this summer while I have some free time.

Coley requested I update my Xanga for her entertainment, so I am adhering to her request.  =)
