i've been okay.. managed to come this far. i have 108 days left to serve this country, then back to be a civilian again.

wassup to all my peoples.

i've been on my first break since my enlisting n draft. this one is called "100th day break" and its for 4 day/5 night ... i got 1 extra day for having examplar soldier mentality (that award went to me, out of 240ish people)

the break just flew by and its time for me to go back already.

no internet access till break or somethin .. and my next break is after i move up the rank in december. the break itself probably wont be in december, but any time after that...

as i grew to appreciate everything little to big, i miss my bros n my people more n more, and all the good times that came wit it. peaceful, lazy days.

less than fuckin 21 months left till i'm free again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'll be servin in the army, startin on June 14.th.

for the first 6 months or so as the trainee/private(ÈÆ·Ãº´/ÀÌµîº´) i will recieve a 4 night/5 day break,
for the next 6 months as a private(ÀÏº´), a 14 night/15 day vacation,
for the next 8 months as a corporal(»óº´), a 9 night/10 day vacation,
and for the remainder of the 2 year service (which should be about 4 months), i'll get the last 9 night/10 day vacation as an officer(º´Àå)...

the law is always changing for the better and now it is about 40 days of break for the whole 2 years of service...

Cory (Mr. Ed from UW) and Twinkle Toes (Purdue) are in the army right now. i got less than 2 weeks left....

when i was leavin Kansas for Korea after graduation and for army, i knew my days were limited but coudlnt really get myself to go hang out wit the bros ... i think that pattern is gonna come back, where i'm thinkin about just stayin home.... now i admit that it sucks to go........

a great book: Conversation with God

i've been reading that book, recommended by Twinkle Toes.
yall know i am not a Christian... but that is not the point. to me, the book seems to be all about what the essence of Buddhist teaching is. It doesn't matter if i see it as a buddhist themes written in Christian tongue, or the original Christian values i choose to deny to recognize it as such.... what's important--at least for me--is the fact that what i read, i could not help myself nodding my head to.

i don't know what to really speak about the book, as the book is self-explanatory if you read it. take it from a Christian's point of view, a Buddhist's point of view like my self, or atheist/Taoist point of view like Toe's ... doesn't matter. but still i urge everyone to take a moment to check it out because there are a lot of things i really value highly.

these days, i've been some what down ... as i perceived the source of my suffering as coming from my desires, the "negative" desires to be a little more specific, i tried to renunciate and deny it. but what i read to day brought me life, understanding, enlightment, happiness--"do not deny the passion (as passion is to love, to be) ..."
what i would further add to this subject is the fact that i should NOT deny but to change what the denied subject is. change my passion from the comparatively lower (but not low by itself, as everything is comparative in the bilaterality) to something comparatively higher. something that will bring me higher, more, "better" joy than the ones i've been pursuiing.

dont let my desires be set on things that bring me less joy, thus seemingly bringing me pain, but to love--to really love--what would make me happy.

sounds like something so ordinary, so obvious, but even that is the mere fact that i am so happy, because in denial, i make the denied subject more evident. focus not on what to hate, but what to love.

oh, what a great day...

hmm. my webspace at KU is gone so i guess all my pictures and songs are gone too. boring written entries, and stolen pics will be the only thing until i find some places--but then again i lost my digital camera 2 days before i left kansas.... my xanga is gonna suck.

i do work hard on weekdays and play hard on weekends, but am i actually moving forward...? hmm.

been kinda ... down. but back up again, because thats the cycle of life.

been chillin wit bros, mostly toes, and this kid is straight. realist. (like me! hah)

i wish more bros (esp. kansas!) were here... that'd be nice.

finally got some stable and solid job ... lookin forward to work startin this wednesday. (its Tuesday 00:26am right now)

made a crazy club between toes and me (and crow) called 151 club... which is to drink bacardi 151. we did that 5 days in a row and its goin crazier by day.. so kinda chillin from that... damn, cant believe i've been spendin so much for the past month i've been here in Korea........

life is gettin better............. wit more to come.

thats me in korea, in my room, dressed up to go to work. i came to like dressin up for work, but at the same time i feel older and i miss them days when i could go to clubs in my comfortable clothes... i went to clubs in THAT cuz i had no time to come home and change ..... bleh
