Clear my mind

Since being back in my hometown, I have encountered some really intresting people, these are people I did not grow up with and that have moved to Menard since I graduated high school in 1999, (yes, I know....I am old).  Some of these people treat me like I NEVER lived here, have forgot the majority of the people and make comments like...."Well, that happened to "________" last year...do you know "__________?"  I have to laugh a little before going, "Yes, I graduated with them" or "I sang at their gradparents funeral six years ago."  I don't know why, but it really annoys me sometime.

Also, we are in the middle of trying to find a church.  Menard's population sign reads 1603....and then you add the three of us.  It is a nice community filled with a rich history and really friendly people; I didn't really appreciate Menard until I left for good ole' HPU.  It has been my safe haven for a long time and I feel very fortunate to be living here with my family.  Back to the church....there are few to pick from, if you can imagine, so we have been visiting the two for the last several weeks.  The church I grew up in has a lot of fond memories for me, yet holds some really dark memories as well.  To top it off, 3/4 of the people that attended church there are STILL HERE and the church has NOT grown in the last eight years, in fact, most of the congregation are 50+.  Well, there are those that keep coming up to me and Justin and reminding me of "this is where you NEED to be, this is the church you grew up in."  I let it slide right off me and don't worry too much about it, but it starting to wear on me when the same member gets in my face and asks me where I was the last Sunday and that the church NEEDS me to be back.  I think I really don't NEED to be anywhere except where God wants me and my family.  Although I have told these people this, they will not budge and continue to voice their opinions.  Geez, is this love of a body of beleivers or a kind of selfishness?  Thanks for listening.....

tag

If you are tagged, here are the rules:
People who are tagged need to list 7 random facts/habits about themselves on their own blog.
(Remember to post the rules, also.)
Then, choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names.
Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they have been tagged

1. I don't like playing board games.

2. Can't live without some kind of mosturizer or gloss on my lips at all times.

3. Listening to other people wheeze or choke sends me into a frenzy and suddenly I have a hard time breathing.       (I am asthmatic)

4. I love the following words: yada yada yada, so on and so forth, "cool & creamy".

5. I am constantly trying to correct my walk.....I normally walk like a duck because I am flat-footed.

6. Play two bars of a country music song from the late 80's to late 90's and I will name the song and the artist that sang it.  I don't know where it came from, but I am good at this!

7. I love my lashes.

That's me!

Proud Yellowjackets Once Again!

We have arrived!  In Menard that is, and boy was it a fast and furious move.  We managed to move with the help of my wonderful mother and brother.  They couldn't have been around at a better time.  We are currently at my mother's house until the house we want to rent gets finished; Lord willing by the middle of July.  My bro is staying with her as well, so you know the house is filled to capacity!  It is a blessing to have all of us under one roof though, we NEVER really get to see eachother.  Justin is working in the weight room in the mornings and is Lifeguarding at the Menard pool in the after noons.....he is my little pool boy!

Jessica has adjusted ok and is liking all the attention from Nana and tio Daniel (my mother and brother).  She is regular again, so that makes momma feel better.  Motherhood is really stressful at times.......my mother fell right outside her house and does not have any real good use of her arm because of the way she fell.......my brother had emergency surgury to remove his appendix a couple of days ago and is trying to get healed and rested.......Justin is at work most of the day, so..........I get to be momma for a couple of different people now a days......Lord knows......

Need advice

Jessica has not had a poopy diaper in over 24 hours now.  She cries more than usual and I can see that she is trying....but with no success......any ideas???  We are having to supliment with Infimil with Iron with my milk because I am not producing enough....could this be the culprit or could it be sensing the stress of the move this weekend?????

Pain

Jessica got her first set of immunizations yesterday.  I had prepared to see a startled little girl after a couple of shots all day long.....but NOTHING could have prepared me for the little face I saw.  When the first shot went in, all I could think of was....my daughter is feeling real pain for the first time in her life....it hurt to see her feel those stings on her little legs.  After the nurse put the band-aids on I scooped her up in my arms and caressed her little body....I hope she knew how much I loved her at that moment and how much I would have taken those for her.......reminds me of how much the Lord must love us and through the cross took our place.......I love being a parent, what a blessing......
