| I think it's long over due for an update.
Rachel and I found out in September that we are expecting! I found out over the phone several hundred miles away while on a business trip.
November we had a nice trip to TN for Thanksgiving with all the family.
Beginning of December I started a new job less than 10 miles from home doing IT consulting for www.natit.com, and even got a company car!
We found out last week that we're expecting a boy!
We had a wonderful time with family over Christmas.
I also have a new cell phone number. So send me an email if you don't have it yet. | | |
| OBX (Outer Banks, NC)I just got back from a morning walk with Rachel on the beach; waiting for breakfast to be done. The summers gone by so fast, but there's still so many things to look forward too. We spent the day on the beach yesterday; I spent a few hours catching sand flea's and digging up crabs in the sand. Josh and I also made a few runs out into the rough surf and rode a good wave or two. We'll be driving back home later today. | | |

Hey folks; Let me or Rachel know if your planning on coming; I don't want any one left out that wants to come celebrate with us.

| Wow, it feels like yesterday that we got engaged. Life has been really crazy... It seems like it's slowing down to a "normal" craziness. So I thought I let you guys know how it all happened.
Sunday after church I took Rachel and her mom out to eat at Jess's downtown. After lunch we went back to Rachel's house and we dropped her mom off; I left the car running and told Rachel to get back in. I had got permission to take Rachel out, but she didn't know it. So she got back in the car and we headed off... Last year Rachel had counseled at a Christian camp in VA called Brethren Woods. I have talked to Rachel on the phone every chance she got while Rachel was at camp, and she's been wanted to show me the camp but haven't had the opportunity to see it yet. So I knew the general direction of the camp and headed that way. When we got to the point where I didn't know where to go I told Rachel where we where going and watch out of the corner of my eye a smile on Rachel’s face. (I think she had a good idea of where I was going) We got to the camp and we walked around the camp and I listened as Rachel told me all about everything. When we left camp we headed up to skyline drive. We stopped on the way to get some iced coffee and ice cream and spent my last $10 bucks in cash that I had. When we got the skyline drive we found out that it costs $10bucks to get on it, and we really didn't have enough time to go any where on skyline drive. So we ended up driving back to town and stopped at Kid's Castle. We've been there a few times before and always have fun there. It's a huge wooden playground castle we swung on the swings for a bit and than played freeze tag with some kids from church that were there and had a lot of fun. It was getting late and we wanted to be home when Rachel’s dad got home from work. Neither of us wanted to go home so I tried to get lost or take the long way home. We ended up stopping at Silver Lake, a small lake where we like to stop at and pray together on the way back to Rachel’s house. I took Rachel to the end of the lake where there's an old mill and a water fall. At the bottom of the waterfall was a stone bench that we sat down on and talked for a bit. While we where talking I wrote on Rachel’s hand (Rachel) than we talked some more and than I wrote (Michele) talked some more (Roberts) and talked some more (will you...) talked more (please...) and more talk (please...) you get the point (please...) and I drug it out more (marry me) Rachel looked at me and asked "are you for real?" with that I got down on one knee and pull out a diamond ring from my pocket and asked Rachel to marry me. When I took Rachel and her mom out to lunch I had her mom sneak some wine glasses and a corkscrew opener in my car :) which we enjoyed there at Silver Lake...
Please remember us in your prayer as we prepare to become one; that we would honor God and seek His will for us.
I love you Rachel!
