A little over a week ago I sat in an interview at DDB Chicago, the first of what I assume will be many interviews. I graduated in May and took the advice of some wiser Ad people to take my time in the job search. So at my first interview (what was actually and introductory informational interview) with 3 account managers it appeared the most interesting thing on my resume was YWAM! So dressed in business attire, applying for a job in ADVERTISING, and what felt like decades past my DTS i had to explain what I was doing in Switzerland and India. After explaining the simple life we lived in India I set myself up for some more questioning...How does the experience lead you to a career in Advertising?

this was not the first time someone has asked me this or that I asked myself but this time it struck me. For better or worse I did not go into details how I felt God had given me gifts and talents that I should use. But every time I think about YWAM I cant help but take a pause and think about all that has happened in those 6 months and since.

almost been a year since my last entry...sorry. well what can I say. Its been a long year. too much has happeneded to recap but lets just say im looking forward to may. My graduation. Actually its kinda bitter sweet. I moved off campus this year and even though I was only a block away i felt that much more disconnected. And now that graduation is just weeks away Im not sure im ready for the next bit of disconnection.
no job lined up...advertising is a tough field to break into
lease is up in july
so that leaves me waiting to see whats next

so I am in the midst of finals week and do plan on sleeping at all tonight seeing as though I have to finish a 20 page research paper and study for an exam by 10:30 am.  The picture previously posted was taken after sleeping only 2 hours in nearly 48 hours...got to love all nighters with my marketing com group.

but anyway to the good stuff

Mark is an awesome guy from my PR class. Facebook was the means to officially meeting and the relationship has budded from there. He is a good guy who treats me great, something I am so not used to. Things are just beginning and unfortunately finals have been stealing our time together. but there is a bright future ahead of us. Pray for us and my plans for the summer cause long distance is no fun but could be a positive obstacle  to overcome.

and things change once again...

March madness is over but it seemed to extend to April too. It has been a crazy semester and I have learned so much.

I have never been afraid of change. Thank goodness for that because there has been a WHOLE LOT of that these days.

1. I had a surprise visit from a friend from Canada. Thanks to him I was reminded of who I once was and the person I was becoming. (and realized I didn't like that person)

2. One word. Drama. Needless drama.

3. Didn't get my dream internship.

Null Hypothesis:         I will get internship and stay in Chicago.

Alternate Hypothesis: I will not get internship and need new plans

If the null hypothesis is true we would receive a letter of acceptance from MCA. The results show letter of acceptance was not received.

Reject null hypothesis. Make new plans outside of Chicago.

4. I have been brainwashed by my Statistic course

5. I am going home (sigh of relief). Cant wait to see my nephew

6. I have no idea where I am living next semester

7. I have found a CHURCH!! God is good. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.
