In a rain, I steped into HKU once again. To me, it is more beautiful and fantastic than any disneyland in the world. I crossed the familier lobby and arches, entered the familier building and see my familier professor. We have a long conversation and he said he supported my decision and gave many suggestions to me. I was so moved and had hope again. I know there are still so much uncertainties and sometimes it depends on luck, but I will feel no regret to make effort to my dreams. My teacher, my friends, thank you for all your support.

I am so lucky.

                                 HKDL Media Park Tour

Back from the HKDL Media Park Tour! It was a happy and meaningful experience. I prepared for this project till 11 p.m. the night before the trip, Nancy didn't sleep until 2:30 in the morning and our colleagues in OMHK worked to 5 a.m.!

Although it was a bit tired, just a bit. I was excited and happy about the trip, and delighted to see everything is going well and under our control. During the tour, the weather was extremly hot, we keep exposed to the sun nearly 5 hours. Due to the very tight schedule, we have to keep all the media moving in a hurry. Despite of some Taiwan media's complaint, our Guangzhou media seemed to be more patient and professional. Their sweat wetted through their clothes but they keep shooting with their heavy equipments. A famous woman broadcaster, who I see on TV every night, also came to the trip and she was pregnant. I can imagine how hard this tour to her along with the hot weather.But she didn't complain anything.

Generally, the tour is working successful despite a little delay in the BazzLight Year Astro Blasters. With the cooperation of Disney staff and Ogilvy colleagues, all the things went as we planed. At the end of the trip, I was happy to help one of the journalist to translate his questions to the park worker.

After the park tour I helped with the hotel check-in and the luncheon the next day. During the whole process, I could see how they planed and organized this activity and tried to understand every step. I can tell it is very hard to be a good PR worker and I am proud of my PR colleagues!   A PR worker must be versatile: creater, communicater and organizer. Nancy is a good example and I admire her very much. I think to be a good pr worker, except for talent, you must pay very hard work and control your emotion very well.

During this trip, I found my advantage and disadvantage as a pr girl. I have a strong memory to people and I can easily recognize the journalists at a short time, I have good understanding about my job and I am tolerant. On the other hand, my communication skills need to be improved and my smiles are not enough. And I have to train to react quickly and calmly to the emergency.

Humble beginning

I love red. Red is the color of blood, full of energy. Ogilvy's color is red.

We are just have our humble beginnig here. That's how Ogilvy started his business and what he believe. Thank Nancy, she taught me a lot. She doesn't blame me even I ask for some stupid questions. And she will continiously give me encouragement for every little thing I did. She is always diligent, smart, keeping good manners and making everything very clear. Benny said how they treat intern is different from the official staff. Yes, nobody will take u as a child forever and nobody will forgive u if u make the same mistakes everytime.

Alphea and Nancy have been dedicating to OMGZ for over 4 years. They are loyal workers. Maybe they find their world here. The company's culture is open and harmonious. Most of time we are working while enjoying the soft music~ And more important, there are many opportunities here, as long as you are sincere and hard working. I remember Scott, our PR President of Great China, his GZ inspection tremendously inspired me. He is a leader who is funny, creative and long-sighted. At lunch, he communicated with everybody and said he is proud of our team,  ¡°We will achieve our dreams, like in Disneyland¡± , he said, and ¡°We should work hard, work smart, work with more people." He aslo showed his concern about our heavy workload. He thinks we should have some time to "explore the world". He hope working in OMGZ will be a good experience for our interns.  His words, thinkings and case sharing ignite my passion greatly.

Ramsey said: a good leader is not a person who lead the team finish thier jobs in time, he is a person who can help the team members to grow and find thier world.

I don't know. I tried to complain sth, I showed my disappointment about sth. But what I did only made the result worse. The only hope u can change the situation is u turn your attitude to be positive first.
