I have been exploring the works of Arthur Rackham lately. He did an enormous quantity of illustrations for children's books.  There are some impressive works independent of these, however.  I really love his work.

Also intriguing are the paintings of Fernand Khnopff.  To see them in a museum is so different, so much more seemingly palpable.

I lock my door upon myself, Khnopff

extradimensional longing

it's coming up, that part of the road...

there.
i can feel it now.
can you feel it? like
something snagged your soul
with an existential hook...
there!
do you feel that?

don't get out.
i don't want you to leave me.

what?
okay.
no,
we don't have to come back this way.
