Bo goo sip da. everything, in Firenze...Arno river, the streets, piazza Repubblica, Forte Belvedere, ponte vecchio, duomo... ^_^.. People should watch the movie "neng jung gwa yul jung sa ee", and you will see the beauty of Florence.. ^^
When i was reading hyunkyong unnie's xanga, unnie was saying foodshopping was big part of her london life. haha. so it was for me! If she misses bread, .. i miss olive oil...T_T very fresh olive oil that we used all the time for cooking..esp perfect for pasta. ...
but what i miss the most is, walking along the Arno river at night time,.. Its a long walk and i would think about this, and that and this... ^_^ and remind myself everytime how lucky i was to be there.. Often times, in piazzas, there would be some sort of concerts, or events going on. Always groups and groups of tourists would hang around the Duomo and ponte vecchio. Even in the dark, those streets were still lively.
Firenze life was sometimes a bit lonely, but i even liked that part. It was purely the time for myself, and for my dreams and future. Things that i bumped into at every corner of Italian streets were inspiration to me. The things that i used to love in America was all there in Italy. For example, uniquely patterned journal of mine, my favorite journal, was made in Florence, i found that out later. The uniquely decorated light which i saw at one of the cafes in America was originally Italian design..i saw it at one of the Florentine shops. I was only a student in the city of Florence, while everything else was so actively going on.. People of Florence making art, creating the art, music and all. Only thing i could do was to go and see it for myself as much as I can. and to build up the dreams.. thinking up what i can do, what i should do when i go back to America.
Firenze was so beautiful, and Paris was also full of spectacles..
I can never forget. I will never forget. It taught me the dreams that i need to follow. It built up a big part of myself. I need to go on now. here in america.
but sometimes, whenever i look into the pictures of Florence, it brings back precious memories. and I feel as if i'm back there, in those pictures, walking on those streets once again....

The Only last day in Paris was..very packed but Awesome awesome. First, i went to the bank of American Express to exchange some dollars, and there was Opera Garnier right in front of the bank. Sabine's ajoomah said that u could always get tickets for opera and ballets, so i went in there with the hope of picking up any left over tickes for the show of the day. I found out that they had only one ballet showing, Isac the Terrible, but at the Opera Bastille, which was few metro stops away from Opera Garnier. I came out of the line and went into the Opera Garnier for the tour, only for 3 euros(with the students discount). It was antique theater that was preserved throughout the history, and was even in use now. It was so beautiful, with fabulous decorations..esp the theatre hall, was covered with red and gold, and the ceiling painting was done by chagall! At the moment, when i was peeking in the theater hall, there were people setting up the stage for opera/ballet.. T_T i was like wow.. Set was very beautiful..
Coming out of the Opera Garnier, I went ahead to Opera Bastille, which was more Modern designed theatre, to get the tickets for the evening show of Isac the terrible; 7:30 pm, yes.. to go there all by myself!!! After buying tickets at the ticket office, I took metro again to Louvre Museum*** After 3 pm was only 5 euros. It was HUGE. and with many people's recommendation, i was prepared to not get lost inside this huge museum. I took the map and set few targets. First thing i saw was ob course was MonaLisa~~ ^^ and saw some other Leonardo Da Vinci's works.. I also bumped into many romanticism French paintings that i learned in classes long time ago. I also went to Napoleon's apartments within the museum. At Louvre museum, there was a small temporary collection of the drawing/drafts of few artists. among them, there were also drawings done by Degas! ^__^
After museum, my body was so exhausted, but, i went to changelise street to get few things, and then went back to Sabine's to eat dinner. A very short dinner of ramyun, and again i ran back to Opera Bastile to watch the ballet. ....by myself... but it was alright. *_* because i LOVE ballet..shows...
My body was aching. but i felt satisfied for fully using the day to get around the city of PARIS. hehe... The next day, before taking a cap to the airport, I went out again, and got to see the exterior view of the Louvre museum, also the view of the pyramid.. Because i only went inside of the museum, goin straignt in through the metro gate. Maginificent view of the Louvre palace and also beautiful scene of the river.. ^^ I walked along the bridge just for a while.

So then. guess what. I'm HOME now!!!!!!!! When i just got home, my family prepared a welcoming party. hahaha. that was cute. My sister told me that my parents did all the decoration of banners and balloons...well, jaemyung insists he did the blowing the balloons. kekeke. My house seems so cozy and...big. haha.. house in italy was a bit small.
I'm gonna rest...just for a little more while..jet leg jet leg..

Tada.. Now In PAris.....***  its like a dream still.. ^^ A rather hactic, yet fun trip with jeannie and jane was just over this morning as they went back to Germany to take plane back to USA. My flight is going to be from Paris on the 6th. So I'm having lonely 2 days in Paris, well, which is not so lonely. ^__^ because Paris is too beautiful to make me feel sad and lonely. We came to Paris on the 31st of December, and met up with Jeannies cousin, Christian. He's half German and half Korean. He was very kind, nice and spoke British English, three of us tried to imitate it. ^^ Christian took us around the city of Paris, and ob course we all went to the street of Changelisie(terrible spelling) up to the arch of triumphant, and and Eiffel Tower!! It was New Years Eve and sooo many people were there. We met up at the arch of Triumphant and we walked to the Eiffel tower. From there we took a Ferry which went along the Sene River and came back to Eiffel tower. Christian brought a bottle of champaigne so we had a great, deam ride along the river. ^^ But..... after 12...... was...the start of the Hell. Christian left first (his hotel ended up to be different from ours) and three of us... were lost.  We stayed in the Sabine's min bak jib in Paris. The owner ajoomah told us about the night bus but night bus was not running, and even the metro was all hactic because all the drunk people were throwing fire crackers which was dangerous, (even inside the metro station) THankfully..... we bumped into other members of Sabines minbakjib, 4 people, who were also having trouble getting back to the Sabin's. We took metro but the line connecting to our destination was cut off.  We waited for the night bus outside(it was....cold.....) and it didnt come. Finally, we just went back to the metro station at 4 am and fell asleep inside the metro train until 5.30 am until it started running again.  It was crazy.... but i have to admit. that the New Years Eve at the Eiffel tower was worth it.

Today, after sending off Jeannie and Jane to Germany, Frankfurt. I went to Musee DeOrsay by myself. This museum was full of the things i loved, Impressionism. I saw the works of Degas with my own eyes. I've witnessed its beauty right in front of me!! Degas has been my favorite artist since my college years. I felt the goose bumps on my back..T_T AFter getting some books of Degas at the museum, i took a walk across the bridge and then along the Changelisie street.

I have one more day left in Paris. and then back to USA... The fact that my family has lived in Paris for three years when i was a baby becomes very meaningful to me. I remember my dad talked about Fance a lot and we have many pictures of our familys old memories in Paris. I have not realized back then, but as i was walking around the streets in Paris, it felt so familiar. especially the trees..and the buildings. Because i have seem them in pictures so many times?  its so special to be here, where my parents' and my family's very special memories remain.. ^^
