| just passing time with xanga.so i haven't touched xanga in the longest time now. it's been almost a year. everyone's moved on to facebook. just decided to go back to xanga because i'm in the library waiting for my next class. so yes, i am quite bored at the moment. i am taking summer school and it's quite intense. i've never had to read so much for a 2000 level course. i didn't even have this many readings for a 3000 level course! - -" and i have yet to read the 9 articles from victoria day or something because we have to talk about that on wednesday but at the same time i've got another paper due that day plus another assignment. argh.
another than that, life is good. i actually haven't really seen nelson and them for maybe around a month because we're so busy and i haven't been too motivated to go out either. i have yet to soak up the sun, it is summer afterall! it's just that whenever i have time to go outside and attempt to tan on my balcony, the weather is HORRIBLE and whenever the weather is beautiful, i am either stuck at home doing homework or at school from 12-9pm.
anyways, many things have happened this year: death of loved ones, people getting really ill, broken relationships, hearts, and friendships. i think a lot of people must think that the start of the year 2007 sucks, but have faith! it can only get that bad, things will look up soon. the year isn't over yet. let's make the best of what's left of 2007.
to those who have left us, rest in peace and you'll be missed.

i just had a thought...well it came from reading this article from thestar.com. it's for an essay. remember when we were young, we would try to act and dress as mature and "cool" as possible? it was all part of the high school angst. so what is it that we're doing as we're older? we dress a little more...less mature, and all the things that we used to think that if we were caught doing it, people would find it "uncool", "gay" or retarded? now, we would act upon those things and think that it's really cool to do so. ahh...i just got another point for my essay. values and social norms are always changing within a "society". who knows what the next trend will be?

| i am finally back in hk.
i've got to say one thing; shanghai was a blast.
despite the cleaniness, hygiene, the stomachaches, 30 mins of walking to class, the ghetto classrooms, my nomadic classrooms, dodging bikes and cars, the 5 long hours of class everyday, the mass amount of mosquitoes, the taxi drivers who take the long route (just because we're foreigners), drivers who drive like mad ppl, the excessive amount of oil in all food...etc.
it was fun because i met you ppl. (okay 'cept for ralph because i knew you ever since grade 2). you guys made my trip that much more fun and bearable. thankyous to ralph, chris, caren, justin, bday boy aka. john, jeffery, tim and millie.
you guys take care and have a great summer whether you're working or just bumming around at home.
to the ones who are in hk or are heading down to hk: more fun! wheeeee!
to the ones who have headed to guangchou and/or back to toronto: not going to name names but...caren, chris and bday boy haha: booo.. you guys will be missed. BUT we'll meet up during september or something right?!

| here's another update.
i've finally gotten things settled and bought a new phone charger just for my phone or else i wouldn't be able to call my parents. right when i turn my phone on to get ready to call them, it rings and it's my mom. i swear, whenever i pick up my phone the first question she asks is; "why is it that you never turn on your phone?! and proceeds to scold me. thing is, whenever i call them, i will always tell them that right after i hang up with them, the phone won't be on since i need to preserve my batteries. yet she forgets that i say that everytime.
so all i've been doing is studying, eating (i truly need to diet), doing hwk, dodging cars and bicycles and taking 30 min walks to school 5 days a week. life is just peachy. haha.

WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU ALISTER LEE. HAVE YOU FALLEN OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH?!
