Okay, well, this is the last post.  Our wedding went really well...from what I remember.  I was in such a daze.  It was probably the most exciting day of my whole life.  The rehearsal was wonderful too.  It was so great to see all of our loved ones.

We got back Friday from Cancun.  It was muy bueno.  And the best week of my entire life.  It couldn't have been more perfect.  Our hotel was incredible, the food was good, the beach was gorgeous, and it was just the two of us...I never dreamed it would be so awesome.  But, it would have been awesome anywhere.  I've never felt so close to anyone before or so close to God.

We are loving the married life.  It's like playing house.  Tomorrow we close on our house...so be praying for that.  If anyone wants to help us move...we'd greatly appreciate it!  Well, thanks girls for the little bachelorette get together, and bridesmaids for all that you did on the wedding day.  It was fantastic...and I can't wait to watch y'all experience it all.

But...I'm glad it's over...and I don't have to just talk about wedding stuff all the time. Give me a call...I want to see everyone before you leave for school.  Love you guys! Rach...it was awesome to see you for like two seconds! I'm excited you're coming home early!

Alex Wieck is quite possibly the funniest person I know...or just the strangest.  We went to pick Chanci up from the airport last night.   Mark told us to park in 10 minute parking which is actually "departure".  He flies like every week, so he told us that if it was more than 10 minutes we would be alright.

Well, Alex was of course paranoid.  So...by the time Chanci's plane came in, we'd been in 10 minute parking approximately 12 minutes.  Well, we say our hello's and then Alex tells Chanci and Brandy that we'll go see about the car while they get her luggage.  So...we get in the car, and Alex proceeds to move the car up one parking space.  And then again 10 minutes later.  Yes...we fooled the legal system.

So, it was great great great to see Chanci last night.  It has been such an insane amount of time.  We all had fun sharing stories.

Tonight is my "bachelorette party"/hanging out with the girls.   I'm excited.  It's freaking me out that our rehearsal is tomorrow night.  Mark and I both cannot fathom it.  Well, I'm ready for the honeymoon.  I need some R&R...in a bad way.  I can't even think straight with all this wedding stuff.  I'm ready for it to be here, and then be over...so I can regain my identity and it not be the only thing I have conversations about.  It's been a lot of fun though.

Well, I think that's all I have.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and rest of the summer!

Hello all...

What a crazy week it has been.  Only one week until the wedding.  Sorry that that is all I talk about...but, it's all that's going on.

Thursday Alex, Cori, and I went to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith.  Oh, but first I ran into Mike's lawn mower and got red paint on my car.  Wonderful.  Anyway, back to the movie.  It was so good that I went to see it again with Mark last night.  I highly recommend it.  It's very good for couples also because it's kind of a mix between chick-flick and action.  After the movie (Thursday night), the three of us had Marble Slab...and discussed my fears of what I have to do next week, lol.  It was fun times.

Yesterday I took my bridal pictures...it was weird to get in all my "get-up" with hair, make-up, viel, etc.  We had lots of fun taking them...and Alex and Brooke got to come see me.  Last night Mark and I watched the movie, like I said before.  I think he wishes I had Angelina Jolie lips.  Don't think that's ever gonna happen.  They are (to sound like Kendra) gi-normous.

So now everytime I am with Dad at the house, he gives me like five minute hugs and tells me about the first time he ever held me...how my chin was quivering...and how I had a cone-head, and asks me if I know how much he loves me.  Then he tears up, and says he's going to miss having his little girl around.  This really does not help the situation.  It is sad that I'm never going to live with my family again...and that just makes it really sad.

Well, I'm going to go...Luke's been gone for a whole week, and he's about to be home.  I can't wait!

So, time is flying by, and I am sort of freaking out.  This summer is going to be over so soon...and I will be an M-R-S. Only eleven days.  I'm ready for this wedding to just be over so I can go to Cancun!

This weekend I went on the annual "girl-trip".   This is something that some of the girls on Mark's side of the family do every year...and this was my first time to go.  It was great fun.  We shopped til we dropped...plus two of the baby boys in the family came along and entertained us the entire time.  Have I told you I love my new sisters-in-law?  They are the best!

One thing to clear up:  I think some people think that because I'm getting married, I'm also leaving the planet forever.  Well, I will be right here Canyon, TX...and we can hang out before the wedding...or after the honeymoon.  I won't be chained to our place, only to leave for the grocery store.  So don't hestitate to call me when I get back to hang out.  My life will change, but not my friendships.  I love my friends

Well, I should go do something more productive than Xanga.  HAve a nice day!

Well, I believe it's time for another post.

The weekend went well, though not quite as well as I would have liked since I had a cold.  I just had to wake up on my birthday with a sore throat and runny nose.  Oh well.

Friday night Mark and I took our annual trip to Wellington for the rodeo and fireworks show.  (well, what Wellington considers a fireworks show...what you and I see the neighbors shooting off in their back yard.) Nevertheless, it was good times as usual.  We had fun talking with all of Mark's old friends.  Spur went of course :)

Saturday was my birthday.  Mom, Dad, and I ate breakfast together.  The brothers went golfing...how nice of them, haha.  Mark and I ate lunch with Mark and Cinda Urquhart (Mark is marrying us).  It was fun...with a little bit of counseling.  What a sweet family.  Then....I got my surprise...Mark made me a gorgeous table for our living room!  He also gave me the sweetest card.  Priceless.  That night, my family had a birthday for me and my great-grandmother whose 83rd birthday was on the 1st.  We had a blessed day.

Sunday, I went to Sunday School.  Watched some disappointing Wimbledon.  I wanted Lindsey Davenport to win so badly...but Venus of course won.  It was a good match though; longest in the history of Wimbledon.  I had some good "sister" time with Amy.  We layed out at the Hughes pool, while she gave me some much needed newly wed advice.

Sunday night was LIV festival.  That was great fun...although we had to leave early because I was not feeling well.  I went to bed early to ready myself for 4th of July Festivities.

Yesterday we had breakfast at the Hughes household with the WHOLE family.  We were supposed to eat outside but it was chilly...how weird!  Then me and my boys (Mark and Spur) walked to the parade.  Fair on the Square'd it...you know, the usual.  We got a cow-hide for the new house.

Did anyone else find the fireworks somewhat disappointing last night?  We did.  Oh well, I guess that's the price you pay to not go to Amarillo so you can see everyone who's in town.

I hope you all have an awesome week.  Leave some love!
