It's been a really long time since I made a Xanga layout. I lost inspiration for a while. I'm not entirely sure it's back yet. But anyway. This layout features the characters Ritsuka and Soubi from the animanga Loveless. I've never actually read the manga or watched it. I do know that it's contains shonen ai (boy-boy romance), and though I don't generally read shonen ai, I really like the artwork of this series. Surprisingly enough, I finished the entire layout in a few hours. I generally spend several hours on one layout over a span of two to three, maybe four days. For this layout, I started at about eight or nine tonight, and it's about twelve thirty in the morning right now. Hah, winter break. You gotta love it. The design of this layout is fairly simplistic. I was too tired to think up a complicated border and repeating background, so I just coded a border around the whole thing and used simple diagonal scanlines as the background to keep it from looking too plain. The background of the image started as an abstract. I used some pictures of clouds as textures, but I couldn't think of a way to get rid of the really visible clouds, so I went Oh, what the heck, they can be sitting on cloud nine for all I care and graduated the clouds into a solid background color. Yeah. You can see how my mind works at these hours. (Twelve probably isn't considered late by most of you, but I normally go to bed around ten or eleven.) Hmm. I can't really think of anything to say. So.... extras. Three avatars, two buttons, and a banner. Right click >> save picture as and upload to your own server to use.
