drove ALL the way to berkeley to celebrate vicky's engagement party at chez panisse!!
so my sister and brian just got engaged last weekend!!!
since i knew it (the secret between brian and me) allllll along, i had made reservation 1 month ahead of time!! but the dinner reservation was still late in the evening, at 9 pm.
the food was excellent!
for appetizer, we ordered frisee with grilled devil's gulch ranch rabbit loin and pizzetta with tomato sauce, egg and herbs!! both of them were very delicious!!! the rabbit meat was superb!
for entrees, we ordered
1. buttermilk-fried soul food farm chicken with cornbread and giblet gravy
2. ribeye roast with corn, eggplant
3. spaghetti alla puttanesca
4. grilled ca white sea bass
very delicious!!! the bill was not pretty.. a wallet killer esp with the mandatory 17% gratuity...
our waitor was, lacking a better way to describe him, "strange." just very culturally different i guess.
very good meal! would i go again? yes, if i have the money!

| cheesecake factory and tahoe!!a bunch of the interns, residents and dr. keswick and his wife went out for a meal at the cheesecake factory! the food was excellent.... the cheesecake was soooo goood!!! kitty and mai are the interns from ICO and kari and mike are from PCO. they are really cool. love them!!! they made the rotation through palo alot heavenly!!! i am sad that i have to leave in 2 weeks... look, they even did a UCB sign for me!!
       
dr. keswick invited the interns to go to tahoe for a summer trip!! the 5 of us drove up on sunday, ate brunch at dennys and then drove straight to the cabin!! we went to a nice cafe by the lake that night. came back to the cabin for some nice magic shows by dr. keswick!!
played some board games!!! dr. keswick won 3 times on sunday night.....but it's ok, we interns won couple times the next day!! i won twice too! yay!! dominos is fun!
we then went rafting.... water guns!!! it was a tie!!! my teammates were mike and kitty!! they were fearless.. even though we were one watergun short, we still did quite well... pull over and parked our raft, went for a small swim... water was soooo cold.... i would not recommend swimming in the lake this time of the year!!!
the interns made dinner on monday night. we watched movie cars, played more games and chit chatted until 1:30 am... it was soooo fun! loved it!
on tues morning, breakfast was again prepared by dr. keswick!! yumm, after breakfast, we went for a hike and checked out the villages. came back to the cabin and that was the end of our trip!! i had soo much fun with my fellow interns. they rock!!!
i m sad that kitty and mai have to leave early to go on to their next rotations, but i am sure that we will meet up again. kitty will be in las vegas va for her 2nd site, sooooooo we are definitely planning to meet up when i am in fresno va for my 2nd rotation!!!
