| Beeing In Action Jacksonville has a wonderful Natural World. There are trees and bushes accenting every where the eyes look, and the vast variety of wild flowers decorate the landscape inspiring one to follow in Mother Nature's footsteps. It's truly inspiring, allowing one to bask in the Sun soaking in it's powerful vital energy. The night sky is as stimulating as the day, with the dark blue veil decorated by the infinite twinkling stars and Goddess Moon reflecting the astral Sun's light.
I spend a lot of time in the yard, surrounded by Mother Nature and interacting with Her and Her beloved creatures. Morning yoga is the perfect way to start the day. There's something about the exercise, relaxation, silence and the vibration of chanting that gets me up to just the right vibratory frequency I want to be at. Then, every afternoon, once again, I sit outside to meditate and maintain what to me is the perfect state of mind -peacefully blissed out. Just outside the bedroom door I have plants all over the place honoring Mother Earth's creation, and clay vases that hold water, honoring the element of movement and flow. One afternoon, as I was coming out of a yummy meditative state I noticed there were bees buzzing around one of the clay vases with water. I remained still so I wouldn't scare them away, and observed, curious. First I noticed one, it rested on the edge of the vase, drank some water and flew away. About 5 minutes later, again it came down to the edge, got some water and flew away. This gave me a delicious feeling of happiness for the rest of the day. The next day I noticed them coming back to the water, now I saw 3 or 4 bees coming to get water. After they took flight I tried my best to see which way they went, to see if they were in fact building a housie in an area of our house or not; but no. Apparently they travel some distance to get water, and they do this all day long, resting at night time. I love how Divine Spirit manages to show us in such unique ways that we always have options to choose from .. There is a swimming pool in the middle of the yard, big enough for them to get water without being so "tight" with space, but "they choose" to get the water from the clay vases I have on the ground, next to the plants, where my kitties also drink from. It's such a wonderful and inspiring environment we've all created out there; I just love sitting outside with my doggies and kitties enjoying the yard, in the company of Nature's creatures. In the beginning these bees were a little defensive and reluctant to share the space with me and my familiars, buzzing around our ears and such, trying to keep us away from "their discovery" of water supply. But I guess they've come to feel more comfortable now that they've realized the rest of us have no problem sharing with them. I make sure to refill the vases with water at least twice a day so that all my nature friends can drink fresh and clean water... I Love Nature!

| Have You Met Your Meat?I spend a lot of time out in the yard with the creatures of nature, and daily get the opportunity to observe their way of life. It inspires freedom and celebration for life and for nature, but at the same time it brings up a sense of survival along with many questions about coexisting. what makes people want to eat meat? are we naturally meat-eaters, or how does one become a carnivore? and who ate who first, the human or the beast? I donate many hours to the research of the coexistence between humans and animals, and have seen most beautiful partnerships and most horrifying battles. It unsettles me.
As the vegan persona I have become, I still hold nothing against carnivores. I dont consider myself to be like those vegetarian/vegans that detest meat-eaters, and go the extra mile to make them feel bad because of what they eat. We make the choices and then have to live with them until we are ready to make the necessary changes to better our lives. It's all perspective. I do, however, think its wise to research and know where the food we ingest comes from. The torture and torment most animals are put through to become part of the food chain is horrifying, and I cannot live with the idea that, then, I'm putting that piece of meat in my mouth and in my body, after its living years were filled with horror, fear and injustice. Growing up, I lived in a country where red meat is at the top of the food group. I've had my share of B-B-Q's, steak n eggs and the such ... so, what helped me change the eating habits? This is a question I've been asked quite a lot, specially in recent years. With the Great Awakening at our doorstep many are attempting to take the veggie route, and what is commonly recommended is the good old "baby steps". If you cannot make the change cold tofurky, then make it little by little. The reasons for becoming a non-meat-eater vary. Some decide based on their beliefs, or their health and well-being, others on the health and well-being of the animals, and others on the health and well-being of all. In today's world, where we can find cage-free eggs and chicken, non factory-farm meat and REAL grade A meat, where cattle are fed organic food and treated with the proper care, it's all about one's choice. Choice is the important part of the equation here. The better meat you choose to eat, the better animals live, and the better quality of life you will experience. So choose wisely, avoid ingesting meat from a place where cows and other animals, all their lives are treated like trash, fed trash and tortured and murdered, ...just to feed it to you. Don't be the beast, be the best!
Becoming vegetarian/vegan, was the best decision I've made for myself. It changed my body, my mind and my life. It's been a exciting ride. Come to the vegetarian side and coexist with the world. It's a wonderful life!

| THE REPLENISHMENT TIMEMay has arrived and the time to replenish is here. As Mother Earth blessed the Northern Hemisphere with the famous April showers we prepare for the firey rays of the May Sun and the multi colors and aromas that begin to bloom readying the land for the coming of Summer-time. Hence, the replenishment time. It's the perfect time to replenish on a general level, letting go of the old, negative and moldy, making room for the new and positive that enters our lives. May, just as during Samhain -or Halloween for the non-Wiccan/Pagan- is a time when the veil between worlds is thin. This makes way for amazing possibilities of growth and development, as well as introducing us to worlds that may go unnoticed the rest of the year. With Saturn, the slow moving planet of karma and master of all tasks, going direct today, May 2 at 8:07 pm, it introduces an inspiring period of incredible possibilities and gifts. So replenish and make room for these refreshing gifts! What else is good to replenish? Basically, whatever we think exists in our life that doesn't match our highest vibration. Old and unwanted habits, sticky ideas that won't take us anywhere nice, thoughts of judgment, fear and anger. Painful memories also have an expiration time and must be released into the Universe to clear up the mind. Another good example are the friends who transit the one-way avenue (as I like to call them). These are people we know who are not a good influence in our life, all those who claim to be a friend but never show their friendship, instead they take what's convenient for them (one-way) and never have anything to offer. So clean up your life! it's fun and so easy.
How to replenish? Well, it doesn't have to be an elaborate thing, or following any guidelines but your own. It's really that simple. Some prefer to create an itinerary filled with steps and processes, gods & goddesses, dances and songs; while others may find it better to just "wing it". Whichever you choose make sure it is something that comes from your heart .. this is the key. Without heart it won't go anywhere.
I personally like to sit outside, in nature, maybe with a glass of wine to sip on and relax, as I bask in the beauty of Mother Earth. I work with the elements, so I usually make an offering of water, wind, earth and fire, therefore a candle is always lit at my side, along with some yummy incense, and maybe even some nice music in the background.
How to release? ... you can take a piece of paper and write down the things you want to let go of, and at the perfect time (you'll know when) burn the paper against the candle flame keeping the intention in your heart of releasing. When the paper is completely burned and there aren't even ashes left (you can drop the ashes on the ground) sit back and visualize yourself replenished, refreshed and cleared up of stagnant and heavy energy. See the Eternal White Light surrounding your body, and filling your being in it. Then, just enjoy the sacred and peaceful space you've created as you finish your wine -or whatever method of relaxation you choose.
I leave you with this as I get ready for my replenishment ritual ... hope you have as much fun as I will! ^_^
Brightest blessings be!
