| The Judgement....kk kiddos, a lot of you guys turned in two lyts, which is cool but for the sake of time im just gonna judge the better of the two you turned in aite? k, here goes nothin...
Bethany + CUTE pic! + easy to read + color scheme matches perfectly - unless the profile pic is rly small, it will stretch out the left side mod and make it cover up more of the photo - i like how the modules slightly hang over the photo as it is. maybe add a one entry code to to this lyt so that the blog doesnt cover up the photo as well, or maybe move the mods to the right side?
Vania + awesome quote/pic, especially since u took it urself. major props for that. + separate code boxes for optional codes + easily read cred on the photo without making it a distraction - as with bethany, the profile mod will likely be stretched out due to the profile pic making it wider than the subscription and posting calander, but that might be something that just bother me lol. - when you hover on the visited links, they black out completely...(again, maybe thats just something that bothers me). - cute lyt despite the lack thereof, but a color or two never hurts =]
Lauren (chose the first lyt) + The pic and quote go together perfectly + easy to read + simple, but not plain-- just clean. - again, the profile mod will likely be stretched out due to the profile pic making it wider than the subscription and posting calander - i dont rly get why theres a goldish second border around the left side mods
Rachel + cute pic + the pic, background and font all follow the same color scheme well - (in my opinion) all lyts look better with the searchbar hidden - the code isnt in a code box so you cant just ctrl+a the code - a little preppy for my taste - maybe make the font pink instead of yellow, its easier to read
Linda (second lyt) + i am in love with the bg pic. good work + colors agree with each other + animated bg in the left mods adds to the site - maybe consider making "the wiled flowers" font smaller, it doesnt need to take up the whole page. - since the bg color to the links is white instead of transparent, it covers up part of the header quote - the bolded "header" and "stats" need to have a larger line height so they dont overlap
Kristi (first lyt) + the bg music is awesome + i like the quote u chose for this picture (i like the pic as well) + never seen a marquee link, i like it! - i still think the searchbar is better hidden, but at least this one isnt stretching out the entire page - no code box for easy highlighting - nothing extremely eye catching to look at
Kelley + black && white but the pics of ashlee are all in color so ur attention is drawn to it. + code boxes =] - the picture marquee is kinda jerky - again, the vintage background is a tad prep for my taste despite the pictures of ashlee - i like how its boxed, but perhaps u could put a small bg pic on the outside so its not plain black everywhere
Gabriella (second lyt) + scrolling header. thats awesome as well as the quote + interesting bg pic + hover glow text + no squinting! - its "dying" - plz hide the searchbar! - no code box - for some reason the subscriptions mod is bigger than the others
Evie + love the bg pic! it almost seems like she is glowing + no clashing colors, they all match the bg pic perfectly + again, simple, but not boring - the left side mod main text needs to be changed to a color besides black so it can be read without highlighting - the drop down boxes are rly big - maybe add a good quote that would go with the pic, i mean its ur decision of course but its kinda like i wanna know a reason why she is sad when i look at it lol
Nicole + what a pretty photo! the colors are amazing + easy to read font + drop down list of options, very helpful for newbies lol + code boxes! - i kno ur tired of hearing it, but especially with this lyt i think it would just look neater and cleaner if the searchbar was hidden - if it were me, i would fix the background so it didnt scroll with the page - the left mods have a thick border while the blogs border is thin. i think they would both look best if both borders were the same width as the border of the picture. |
