| June, 2006 - The FIGS Outreach Trip to Europe Well, after almost 4 months, an entry! After our amazing trip to Israel, we returned to Cyprus for a couple of weeks. Then the Students and I were off to the FIGS( France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland). We flew to Prague, then took bus, train and cars through Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France. Our trip was truly Planes,Trains and Automobiles!!!!!!!!! You can see info and pictures of the trip on the Gateways website http://www.gatewaysbeyond.org/gts2006/ Here are a few of mine.We worked in Hernhutt, Germany on a ministry center called the Jesus House.
Then on to Berlin. We were part of a World cup city-wide Party Parade with a Church Group. We did street evangelism in the city center about 10 blocks from the Brandenburg Gate and Humbolt University.
Leaving Berlin, we both drove and sat on the Autobahn, heading south towards Geneva, Switzerland.
Above: Summer & I, --- Jahi gives his impression of being "struck by a truck on the Autobahn"! We visited the old town of Annecy, France, with it's lake high up in the mountains.
The next day, a tour of Geneva by a YWAM Staffer wit 30 years residence in Geveva. Genev`e, as pronounced in the city, has been a city of refuge for various peoples since before the middle ages. John Calvin, the english theologian among others, once resided here!
Below, (A) Estee and Andrew minister in a downtown church, with fellow student Mattieu (from France)translating; (B) the girls do their dance at International Christian Fellowship Intl. in Geneva; (C) With student Denyse from Switzerland and Pastor Etienne Rochat of Geneva on Mt. Saleve overlooking the city ( we prayed &worshiped there); and (D) worship in the pastor's back yard with some of his people. A B C D Half-way there! More to come. Then to Torino, Italy. then to the Farm-Joseph House, south of Tolouse. Then to Marsellis in the south of France. Then back to Cyprus.
| More Israel, includes CousinsAnother exciting week at Gateways! Last Sunday was Red Carpet Gigue - where the Stars were out in full force. No photos of that yet....
Join us back in Israel for a few more shots of our visit ... this is Sarah & Matt after she found the Afikomen during our JERUSALEM Passover Seder!! The most unbelievable part is that Matt gave her 50 sheckels for finding it - that's about 10 bucks!

This post wouldn't be complete without "cousin shots." Here's Sarah & Shifra...

It's the "Three Musketeers - Hannah, Reuven & Shoshana" One for All and All for one!! Unfortunately, we have to report that the cousin combinations of Rachel & Eliana and Abby & Atira were unable to be photographed because they were always at the Mall! Just Kidding!
But that's all for tonight - hope you enjoy the photos. Drop us a comment if you can. This is AMY signing off for the Williams Traveling Circus
| An Israel Post - Finally!Hey Folks - we really haven't dropped off the face of our blog! Just busy, busy, busy! Too much to catch up and everyone knows that the photos are the best part so here's some shots of our most recent adventures..... visiting with the Morrison's in Kiryat Ata...
Here's a great shot of Mt. Arbel, near Tiberias - we hiked here with the GTS students. As you can see the view is beautiful...

This is a shot of Abby & Jill at Masada. The unusual thing was that is was actually CHILLY that day. Everyone took the cable car up but David, Rachel & Hannah walked down!
Can you guess where we are? Dead Sea mud is supposed to be excellent for the skin - it just looks muddy to me :)

That's all for tonight - it's 2AM Cyprus time - so time for some ZZZZZ's More Israel photos next time - hopefully soon... - thanks for visiting (don't forget to leave a comment) AMY and the rest of the Williams Traveling Circus
| March - The Second Half / Snow Day / Purim / Cyprus doings !!
Monday March 27, 2006 - Cyprus !
Hello everyone, David here, doing my first post! On March 12, we went to the top of Mount Olympus! Really! It's the Cyprus Olympus, and it has SNOW most of the year! It is offically called "Troodos" , as you will see from our Pics.

We had a great day on the mountian, and it was all because we had the loan of a car. Bedig & Rebecca loaned us thier car while they were away, thanks guys!

Then came Purim, this years theme was Arabian Nights. These costumes are all clothes we have from our suitcases, and some are very creative! 1st - make hamentashen!

We celebrate God's deliverance of His people through Ester, and Pray for His Messiah to be seen in Israel today.

Here is the cast of
Arabian Nights!
With Charlotte direct from her web, and Robin Hood and Little John.

Well, we're off to Israel tomorrow, hope you have enjoyed our pictures, Thanks for looking. Blessings on your House!!!!!!!

| Hello- This is Rachel Williams reporting live from the village of Moniates where a few moments ago...
just kidding! no news to report only some stuff from the archives. (however, soon you'll be getting a treat from Dad - all about our adventure further up the mountain!)
Per the readers' requests, here are a couple snaps of my new haircut. I got a trim and some layers cuz the last cut had grown out.

you might notice that my hair is two-toned I am growing out that nasty red color but it is going painfully slow!
these pictures were taken on a day when i straightened my hair - you can see the layers better when they're not all twisted around
Also for the benefit of our readers, here are some pics of the interior of our house. See Abby hard at work in the kitchen!there are two doors leading out of the house from this room. one, directly to the right of the refrigerator leads out to the carport. the other is to the left of the sink and it comes out at the front of the house on the porch.
this picture takes a little explaining. this area contains our living room, dining room and foyer. behind the tan chair in the bottom right hand corner of this picture is our front door. from this angle you can't see it -only the windows that are to the left of the door. this is the room where Hannah & Sarah have their dance class. This photo was taken on March 10th right before Shabbat Dinner. When I took this picture I was standing on the small flight of steps (only 4 stairs) leading to the "second floor."
this is the same room from the opposite side. now you can see the stairs I was standing on when I took the last picture. at the bottom of the stairs is a bathroom. the strange door above the bathroom is a storage space, accessible from the door or Hannah & Sarah's loft bedroom. the door to the right of the coat rack is the kitchen door. the round table under the coats is the computer table. the phone is also plugged into the same wall socket so when we talk to any of you, that's where we sit or stand.
here's a little close up. there's a little green sign above one of the switches. the words you can't see say: bathroom light ; and there's a little arrow pointing to the correct switch. Abby put up the sign after all (and I mean ALL) our guests pressed all switches except the right one. the switch for the bathroom is not on the end near the door but in the middle. I dunno, it must be a Greek thing
Well, it's very late now so I need to post this. I hope when you see these snaps, you'll get a better "picture" of our life in Cyprus Love, Rachel
