Yes no matter, come what will, in my heart, i'll be living with Grace."I've heard it said, that people come into our lives for a reason- bringing something we must learn and we are led to those who help us most to grow....if we let them. And we help them in return. Well, I don't know if I believe that's true, but I know I'm who I am today, because I knew you.

Interests: Anything related to NYC or theatre. I've recently gotten back into performing rather than just attending. TiVo makes me happy. My cat makes me estatic. "Sex and the City?" .....fabulous. "Hairspray?".....orgasmic.
Expertise: I could host "What Not to Wear." I have a pretty good eye for theatre and a pretty good ear for music. Even music I don't normally listen to, can be appreciated if it's done well. In "Clueless", Cher describes her friend Christian as saying that he always wants things to be beautiful. I want things to be beautiful not just for me but for the people I care about. People deserve beauty in their life.

And if you threw a party, invited everyone you knew......

On Friday night, I went out with Lisa and Noelle to see a movie and have some dessert at Cheesecake Factory.  I was reminded of a great scene from “Sex and the City.”  It’s not a big scene, it’s not a scene that made water cooler talk, but a scene that popped into my head on Friday night.  There is a scene where Carrie shows up at the movies, and her friends are standing there, and hand over her ticket as she arrives.  And then they go in.  It seems so natural, so real, so comfortable.  On Friday night, I arrived at the movie theater first and purchased 3 tickets.  When Lisa and Noelle arrived....I smiled...held up their tickets, they took them, and we went in.  Why have I devoted almost an entire paragraph to this?  Because I never had friends growing up.  I barely had friends in college.  It has only been after graduating that I have really felt like I was part of a small, close-knit group of friends.  I’ve been out now for about 4 years and have met some great gay men since them, and a few of them, (Tony, Patrick, Gary, George, Tom), have become close as well.  It’s such a comforting feeling. I get jealous at times when my friends ‘couple-up’ as I like to call it, but it’s only because I fear losing them.  (I'm currently very happy with my own private life.)  I’ve come to be understanding that these people in my life, are going to be in my life for a very long time.

While discussing the movie over cheesecake, (how ‘Golden Girls’ of us!), Lisa said, “So our 5-year college reunion is in a few months.....are you coming?  We need to know so that we can book a room.”  I was floored.  I didn’t go to the same college that all of my little group (Spencer, Tracy, Noelle, Lisa, Mike) went to.  I pointed this out, and without blinking, Lisa said, “But we want you there.”  I almost cried in my Shirley Temple folks.  It’s so rare in my life that I’ve felt needed.  I mean, I feel included to the point where people tend to forget that I wasn’t always there.  It’s a warm and fuzzy feeling.  It kept me warm on Friday night.

<----I have dibs on Blanche's outfit in 40 years.

Rollin’ with the homies.....

Speaking of groups of friends, another group, the Mystic Players, whom I’ve done theatre with in the past year or so, had a get-together on Saturday night.  After a confusing dinner, we went Atomic Bowling.  I know....you’re thinking, “Scott bowls?”  Oh yes, he bowls. He plays with the big balls (pink on Saturday night actually).   And this wasn’t just bowling, this was ghetto-atomic bowling.  Yes darlings, the lights were off, the hip-hop was blaring, the cocktail waitress was a hoochie and I had my Cosmopolitan served to me in a dixie cup.  Good stuff.

<-------------I wonder if it comes in pink?

Back to the barricades?

Les Miserables is returning to Broadway for a limited 6-month run at the Broadhurst Theatre this fall. It ran for about 16 years the first time around.  Is there really that much of a demand for it again only 2.5 years after it closed?  We'll see.

And the Oscar goes to.........Elle?

I'm going to have to go see "Walk the Line," because I have to see why there is a distinct possibility that Elle Woods might win an Oscar.  I'd also like to see "TransAmerica," but only for Felicity Huffman's performance as the movie doesn't really interest me.   We saw "Date Movie" on Friday.  As you'd suspect, it's not the greatest piece of filmmaking, but it was funny.  There was a clown scene though...frightened me a little.

  <---------scary

And finally...

I'm on VACATION.
Jealous?

For Valentine's Day, a handsome guy came to my place, and made me dinner.  Then we cuddled up on the couch for some television.   Simple, sweet, bliss.
I hope everyone had a nice day yesterday....and if not.....it's just a day.  Don't measure your relationships on what you do or the gifts you get on Valentine's Day.  Measure your relationships on Wednesday the 15th of February, or June 18th, or other random days when you're happy to look across the table and see the affection pouring back at you.

The Love Album

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

 Love never fails.

...when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 1-13

------------------------------
If there were no words, No way to speak,  I would still hear you
If there were no tears,  No way to feel inside, I'd still feel for you

And even if the sun refuse to shine, Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart,  Until the end of time
You're all I need,  My love, my valentine.

------------------------------------
'Cause the world keeps spinning 'round and 'round,
And my heart's keeping time to the speed of sound...
