| ..........................and three months later, I post!
So, I hope everyone is well. Does anyone do Xanga anymore? Summer plans anyone? Life plans anyone? Anyone? HELLO!?!

| Drum roll please... SENIOR RECITAL! (finally) Thursday, February 23rd at 7:00 pm
YAY!
|
| |
| Uh... why exactly am I a music major again? I forget. If it
is possible, I actually got tired of singing today. First time
ever! Really!
|
| |
| Ok... is it possible that only a week and a half into my classes that I
had three tests on one day? AH! I am absolutely loving
being back in school though. I missed this! There are so
many amazing people in the Music Department and I am learning so
much. Did y'all know that St. Augustine thought it was a
"grevious sin" to be moved merely by the sound of a voice and music
rather than the God about and for Whom that music is created?
Plato and Aristotle believed music could penetrate the soul and the
inanimate world and could determine a person's character.
As a musician who serves our King, I find a new burden to bear.
The responsibility of making certain that when I play or sing, my
motive is to adore Christ, to help others know Him more and allow His
Spirit to impact hearts and lives. I never want to promote just
an "emotional experience".
Just some thoughts... Love you all!
