| Leaving Korea.....unbelievable! So can I change my mind? I can't believe that after 5 years we're moving on from this place. This is the only place Zach and I have spent our married life. I was looking at a few pictures tonight and thought only one thing...these are all the things I'm going to miss! Words cannot express, but those of you who live or have lived here, you know there's not another place like this! So...pictures will have to express the "Things I'll miss" Playmates for Zoe....whether school friends or neighborhood admirers.
Downtown...it's changed a a lot but still the same.
The random "organization" of Korea
And Zoe's boyfriend...Owen. He's a keeper!
And of course memories, friends, fun times and incredible struggles. God has been good through it all.
| Well, I know it's been a while since I last posted. But I realized we haven't taken many pictures since we've been so darn busy. But we did take some a few weekends ago at Zoe's boyfriend's birthday. Owen turned one. I know a girl is supposed to date someone older than her, but 5 months doesn't make a ton of difference in the long run right? You'll also notice we've been a little more creative with Zoe's hair style. We figured since it's always sticking up we'd make it official. We've found a few houses we're interested in but it takes forever to do things from another country. I just want to get there, but I dont' want to leave. Does that make sense? Oh well, enjoy the pics. | | |
| He LivesAnother great Easter in Daejeon... We had a great easter weekend spent with friends-like-family, spent with each other and with Christ. I'm humbly reminded of the cross and my freedom because of it. I included some pictures of our little hiking outing with Mike and Jaci and an easter family pic. We had Stan, Judy, Steve and Alice over for Easter dinner. Nothing could be better than spoiling Zoe, good food and lots of laughs. Thanks guys! I truly will miss this place. The waiting continues as we wait to hear from schools for next year. Could THIS be the week? We keep saying that...perhaps! Mike and Jaci at Gyeryong San
Sorry Mike, rocks are for kids only.
Easter Sunday
Tulips! I'm half Dutch ya know!
| Zoe went to a birthday party this past weekend. It was a "princess" party, so everyone had to dress up as princesses. Zoe wore a fancy dress and had a great time. First she found the dolly...which she carried around the whole time, then she found the puppy and got licked in the face...she really liked that....THEN she discovered the left over cake. Which she REALLY liked. I figured since she didn't really get into her cake at her own 1-year party, I'd let her have at it. Needless to say it was literally the "icing on the cake" as far as the party goes. She couldn't walk afterwards because she was slipping and sliding all over the icing she dropped on the floor. Thankfully Chantal, the lovely hostess, was so laid back and encouraged the mess, so I let her go to town...after all, what are washing machines for? Other than that, the job hunt continues, the rain is making our tulips grow at school, which the kiddos are so excited about and vacation starts in 2 days. Cheers everyone!

| Zach and I just bought a new camera and he took it with him to the grocery store today...yes...the grocery store. A little freaky I know. But it IS nice to have some better quality pictures. We could use prayers as we get ready to move on from here. We're sad to leave our friends and the place we've lived our entire married life so far but ready to move on and live somewhere new. I have a feeling Zach and I will be movers and shakers. I'm beginning to wonder if we'll ever live somewhere for more than 5 years. We just love the unknown and the new. Anyway, it was Fuh-reezing last week and we took a cute picture of Zoe and I all bundled up for the walk home. Hopefully it'll be warmer this week. I don't do cold...ever. It bites. Cheers!
