Haha--second year students always seem to come out of the woodwork.

How was my life changed? Well, I speak a year out and I can say that being there

1) Strengthened my faith.

2) Helped free me from sin that had me chained up for years. No, the Bible Institute isn't some Cure All pill, but, if you are willing the staff serves as awesome discipleship and accountability partners...I am forever grateful because they showed me not how to be free but how I was already free and how to live in that freedom.

3) Changed my outlook on evangelism. This was second year ministry mostly, but my idea of the local church structure and missions were completely overhauled.

The biggest change though

I went into the Bible Institute wanting to be a doctor or nurse or something "big" like that. I now realize that the "biggest" thing that I can be is what God has for me to be. I left there wanting to be involved in the ministry and a year later, that is still where I stand.

Did my life really change in Second Year?--I started dating a wonderful woman, got engaged, got married and all before the spring quarter.  As you already know we are now expecting our first child.

But the biggest change has been that when things happen I now look for how God wants to change and grow me.  I no longer look at those times as a "curse" or whatever.  Life is hard, but a joy to live when focused on the glory of God!

well as one of the three crazy Germans that where attanding the BI in 2004/05 I would say that all the surrounding things made a great difference in my life. Classes and teachers too but it was just the life example of staff members that started to change my thinking (for all theologians: it was the HS who worked it all together).
Right now in my university in Germany where I'm studing Gods word much deeper I can say that I got my foundation during the time at Word of Life Germanys first year and my second year at Word of Life Schroon Lake...

God is good and I'm thankful for all he does...

My life was totally transformed by the BI.  It was a very new thing for me trying  to learn the Bible and how to live a Christian life.  Just learning the basics durning first year and then how to apply God's Word into my own walk with Christ in my life during 2nd year.  Than on Impact, learning that no matter what I do, no matter where I am, I am a full-time Christian.  Of course it is God's grace that I am saved, but He used WOL to change my life, forever.
