On VESAK DAY 31st May, 2008....

Many Buddhists celebrated Buddha's Birthday by "bathing" the Buddha and participating in charity. Ling San Meditation Temple was no exception. My mom organized the entire event for devotees to make offerings and a baby Buddha statue is placed in front of the altar so that devotees can pour water over the statue that is decorated with flowers; 'it is symbolic of the events following the Buddha's birth, when devas and spirits made heavenly offerings to him'.

Below are pictures taken in Ling San Meditation Temple in BM.

Baby Buddha statue - for devotees to "bathe" the Buddha

On another occassion, Hans gave me a small bouquet of roses, although I don't particularly love funny colored roses like blue/black/purple and etc, it's the thought that counts, really.
It's very uplifting to receive flowers after a long day from work. So, any flowers will do. EXCEPT chrysanthemum or any other flowers for offerings. ;)

It's time of the month again. No...not what you're thinking. It's the GREAT SINGAPORE SALE!
Got so excited yesterday, I went to Orchard Rd for some retail therapy. I've always loved BEBE but the price is just a tad too pricey on regular days. So, tried on some dresses.
One thing I hate about sale season is, those with 50 - 70% discount are either ugly or defected or out of size. *sigh*

Fell in love with this but the seams on the sides of the dress is completely torn!
And this is the last piece :(

This is not too bad but it's not very comfortable. By the time I wanted to hop to another mall, it was already 9:30pm. Everywhere's closed. So, I went home empty handed.

Legend Water Chalet - our accomodation

Mei Fei and Ida, in front of our above sea level chalets. The sea water was blue on the website :(

Technically, this is how it looks like

The hot tub
You can actually see through the sea water beneath the glass panel on the floor. Half of the time when I was showering, I was worried someone might kayak on purpose underneath my chalet to take a peek.

Party started early and the crowd started filling in. So we were there at about 10 ish, which was good because everyone still looked fresh for photos.

You know, what I wore was considered REVEALING. I was actually asked to be "covered up".

Some robotic thing which I am clueless

People just lurrrve to walk past you when you're taking pictures. But this dude here looked stoned. So, forgiven.:)

It was my honor to meet DJ Fono or Jason to have Ferry Corsten aka System F's autograph tattooed to a RM50 dollar bill. Words can't describe how grateful I am. Seriously. I just have to publicly express my gratitude. I must give some credit to Willie too...to introduce such a 'great' friend.

Ferry Corsten aka System F
This is a pic of him, sealing the bill with a kiss his autograph and most importantly, MY NAME was imprinted on the fifty dollar note. I know, I am easily satisfied. How often you get this, right?

For the curious, Ferry Corsten "is a pioneer and producer of trance, in addition to being a world-renowned DJ and remixer. He is consistently voted as one of the top DJs and is currently ranked number 8 in the official DJ Magazine poll. He also hosts his own weekly radio show, Corsten's Countdown. He routinely plays at events all over the world with crowds in excess of tens of thousands".
Sources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferry_Corsten

You see my name there? Tee hee hee...

Apparently, he was drunk when he wrote this. Neither any of us could read this.
All I can read is, "This is the ** ** ** the bill. *****"
Gosh, I wish I know what he was writing! Maybe he was writing in Dutch?! And it says, "You're hot?! I wish I could meet you or something"
LOL!

Anyway, pictures from Tiesto Elements of Life Tour at PD will be up very soon when I gather all the piccies from my friends.

I couldn't even remember when was the last time I did my shopping. It was very long time ago.

Tried this in Zara, was quite tempted to buy, but the tube dress is too expensive for that kind of fabric.

I was SO happy, smiling ear to ear for this gigantic strawberry Hans bought me. Now you see....

Now you DON'T! Yums!
Very very comfy strawberry squeezies indeed.

Tried this newly opened Shanghainese restaurant at Temple Street, Singapore as advertised by two local Singaporean actor and actress on  some food channel. It was a wrong choice to listen to Singaporeans (no offense to the locals). Born and raised in Penang, I was blessed with very good and cheap food. So, any food that can pass my QA test, they must be very good.

However, I must do some justice for a few dishes though. Only the specialties are recommended i.e Tea Leaves Fried Chicken and Stuffed Shrimp in Lychee.

This is good. How often you see chickens are fried with tea leaves?

This is something new.
Eating hot and warm lychee is strange enough, let alone stuffed with shrimps. It's good!

Closed up pic.

**DO NOT EVEN THINK OF TRYING THESE**

It's like the stock market. You SELL!

Looks good, but nay. The pork smell is overpowering. Also SELL!

Durian mochi. They called it Xu Mei Niang. I think Beard Papa's better.

I was in KL last weekend for some food escape. Met with Hans' two nephews...

Very cute and friendly Johan.

Very naughty Wesley. My first encounter with a 2++ year old lil boy who glared at me.
That was fierce, Wesley. Nonetheless, he's still a very cute Spiderman junior.

It was Hans' sister's birthday. We went to this Japanese restaurant at Old Klang Road, Xenri.
They serve only the very fresh raw fish they have, but VERY pricey. I never eat raw fish/food, until I was brought to this restaurant, I actually finished 3 pieces of fresh salmon. That was rare.

Yummy salmon!

Unagi was so-so.

Beef was quite good according to Hans

Crab croquette was very good
