i hope you bush supporters are happy. Bush is plannin to send 20000 more troops to iraq. Also.... after watchin cnn tonite....i heard republicans are somewhat excited to try to sell interstate highways to private investors... you know... the highways that were built on taxpayers' dollars? Yups... i guess republicans believe that they own what your parents or grandparents' hardearned tax dollars paid for..... hahahha. so fuckin mind boggling the stupidity of all this is.....

"how the hell /why the hell?"... you ask? bush is officially backing this idea to privatize highways and selling them off to foreign private entities. Mostly from spain and australia. haha. You bush supporters must be proud to be americans. Selling off AMERICAN highways and tolls for an upfront chunk of change that will not help future generations at all. Good job idiots.... supposedly its already been done in indiana. mMmmM.... one wonders where the bush stupidity will end... or will it?

what do you do when the people you wish were closer dont have time for you?

People get bfs/gfs and you begin to see them less and less. When you do see them, theyre not just one person.... they come in pairs. Then it becomes apparent that their priorities no longer contain you. Then you get angry and begin to shut the person out whether they know it or not. And then you have a falling out. Thats just how things are.

Its not really something anyone wishes to happen.... it just happens.

Wish it werent this way.... but it just is. People change, priorities change.

this year i want to graduate.

Socrates held that....

Nobody is willfully evil, provided that he or she understands the truth about the situation. And if a person tsill chooses the wrong course of action, it's because his or her understanding is faulty. What if there is more than one way of looking at a situation? What if there was more than one truth?

KEEP THAT IN MIND WHILE READING THIS PLEASE.

if u are offended by this... good. Its meant to rile you. In some ways.... im playing the devil's advocate on this one....

OUR THINKING

terrorism is horrible we all agree. Yes? The acts of 9/11 are no doubt inhumane. These muslims EXTREMISTS say that the death of those innocent lives were COLLATERAL DAMAGE(remember this phrase). Collateral damage is the innocent bystanders that are killed in the process of a greater goal. Its horrible to think that innocent lives are taken for any goal.

So we call these people terrorists because they did such a heinous crimes to our society. How dare they come to our country and kill our people just to make a point? What's the point they're trying to make? To keep our "democracy" out of their land? To not corrupt their way of living?

Okay.... time to flip this.... 180 degrees.

THEIR VIEW..

Let's say you live next to someone whose house needs a paintjob. Half of the family wants Blue... which you also like. The other half wants Yellow. So.... what if you did something like walk to their house.... painted it blue without their consent? Is it fair for you to do so? If yes... then id hate to be your neighbor. If no.... then in some ways.... isnt that what we're doing in iraq?

comparisons made easier....

Blue= democracy
yellow= whatever they had before.... dictatorship.
House= iraq
Neighbor= U.S.

Back to the collateral damage...

we waged war on pretty much half of iraq right? When you wage war... there will always be collateral damage. ALWAYS. So we went into war knowing that there were going to be "collateral damage". Theres horrible stories of soldiers raping and stealing and pillaging. So.... what does that make us in their eyes? TERRORISTS...

Why? how does it make us better than the terrorists for us to go to someone else's country... kill off their people.... RAPE their women... and implant OUR way of living? For the "greater good" some say.

But in their eyes... they were doing exactly what we're doing now. We're making a stand.... a statement... for the "greater good". But their greater good is to preserve their way of living. To preserve their religion even. We are pretty much making a huge presence in the middle east by building a wal-mart... a mcdonalds. What exactly are we doing?... installing our way of living and dusting off theirs.

Doesn't that make us terrorists in their eyes? How would you like if the extremists came to our world.... raped our women.... kill our children... and claim it collateral damage? Well.... they did latter... they just didnt rape our women. They just did all the damage that we're currently doing to them.... in one unforgetful day. While we... are doing that damage throughout time... AND forcing our way of living upon them.

SO lets balance this all out.....

Extremists killed thousands of american lives in one day. The U.S. are killing their lives throughout time, BUT.... we are also raping their women, forcing our living upon them, patrolling their streets and Temples with high powered guns.

But some people say our way of living is great, why wouldnt they want it? Well... what if they liked their religion, their lifestyle, their streets without foreign soldiers patrolling them with big guns and tanks? What if they liked not having their women raped?

so.... have you stepped out of your own viewpoint and looked at things from a different perspective yet? I hope so. i really do. Maybe now you can see why they're calling us terrorists..... If you're holding on to your views and refuse to look at things from their viewpoint, then that's your own perogative. Just keep in mind that being close minded about this... is exactly what the terrorists are doing.....

would you like your house painted a color that half of your family wants and the other half doesn't? Not to mention.... it was done by your neighbors without consulting you? In the process maybe your dog or one family members dies, but for the "greater good".

hmm... its easy to point fingers and call names when you look at things from only one viewpoint. We were the agressors in iraq... dont forget it. We made the first move. So can we be tried for war crimes? For making the first attack on a sovereign country? If we were another, smaller, less powerful country doing what we did, maybe we would be. But we have money...

So back to Socrates.... What if the extremists just have a faulty understanding? What if WE just have a faulty understanding?......

So comment however you like... maybe you have a great rebuttal. Good... i'll be more than glad to hear it. Just know that i WANT to know your viewpoints. and please keep your cool....
