| Washington D.C.While we were in Maryland, we got a chance to checkout Washington D.C.! It was great that all the museums and parks were free! We walked sooo much, it was unbelievable. When you start walking to the next monument, seem like it wasn't that far... NOT! It was like Las Vegas, the monuments were so huge that it looked like it was just across the street. The picture below was taken back in Nov. of 2000 during the Presidential election in Austin. We sacrificed our valuable "study time" outside of the Texas capital for many hours to hear Bush make his speech. Unfortunately, he never came out b/c they couldn't determine who won the election.
