| OK. So, Jimmy Eat World opened. They were good. Interesting, I guess. I didn't really care, ya know? This afternoon I was sorta scared, but as soon as they came out on stage...it all went away. I felt like one with the crowd. We all moved together, screamed together, etc. Anyways.. the concert was straight out AMAZING. Nothing can describe it. They're coming to MPLS on the 16th of September. Buy tickets. Even if they're shit, it doesnt matter, ITS WORTH IT. So they started out with like.. American Idiot and then played things from that CD for a while. And then they went into Longview and it was amazing. They played mostly stuff from International Superhits for a while, like Basket Case, Geek Stink Breath, Hitchin a Ride, etc, then they went into this like.. huge Shout/Stand By Me medley thing. It was amazing. Then they played a few more things, don't remember what, and then they did We are the Champions. That was the finale-ish song thing. And then when they Encored, they played Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Maria and then Tre and Mike ran off the stage. And Billie just stood there and sung Good Riddance. It was amazing. I listened and sang, but I was really busy trying to grab GreenDay tissue paper from the sky. But it was really amazing. I think around like...after the medley and before the end, Tre looked over to us and pointed and stuff and it was great. I pointed back and everything...I think I gave him two thumbs up, which is completely dork, but still. I dont really remember. It was so amazing. I just lost myself, for the first time in forever.I didnt care who was there or who saw me, I was just me. It was an unforgettable experience.
Lets seeee... OH RIGHT! They had this thing, after Jimmy Eat World came off and before GD came on. It was a screen, and you could text message to a number, and then your message came up on the screen. ERIN PUT ONE UP THAT SAID "SASHA!!!!" lmao. At least...I'm really sure it was her. It was soooo coool.
What else? OK. Billie Joe showed his ass TWICE. and he moaned and jerked off on stage, which was awesome. lol. or however you wanna word it. and then he screamed "somebody fuck me!!!" the place, yeah... went wild. He humped the ground, he ran, everything. The man has so much energy. And he's not 19 years old, either. Not that he's old, but still. He picked people out of the crowd to come on stage, and he was finding a guitar player, and he was like, "Have you ever had sex with a woman?" and I guess the guy said no because Billie was like, "well you're gonna have sex with a woman tonight! get your ass up here!" lol. something like that, it was hilarious.
And. HM. Like two rows in front of me there were these two chicks like.. going at it. HEAVY. all over each other. And one of them had her lighter on, and she wasnt paying attention and almost burned the person behind her in the face. It wasn't funny, but it was at the same time. Situation and everything.
Coming out of the Civic Center, I couldn't hear myself talk. It was so weird. Like, I bet I sounded really stupid too because I think I was yelling just so I could hear myself. And my throat hurts like a biiiitch. But I dont care.
It was the best experience of my life. Not as great as going to the dome, because that was my dream and nothing will ever beat it, but it was something I plan to do a lot more often.
I am glad that Green Day took my concert virginity.
peaceoutttttttt.
