i'm finally feeling better and came on here! yay! i can't believe how sick i was, but i won't give u guys the whole story, it will probably be protected.

so the ball is coming up soon and i have my nail apt. tomorrow. i'm thinking of just an arcylic french manicure...or maybe airbrush? ahh, the choices.

this past Sunday, the hubby and i went to Knott's Berry Farm since Veteran's and current military personnel get in for free. we had a great time with riding all the new rides, played games, shopped, and made crafty things! i couldn't take pictures because we were going so fast that i lost track! haha i do have a couple of pictures of the cool craft things we did at Knott's. oOo!!! we saw one of his Sgt.'s there with his family. it was hilarious how many people we bumped into that day.

alrighty, well, not to long ago, we had a mandatory spouse's pre-deployment brief. i was so BORED!!! i couldn't express how boring it was and 2 hrs seemed like an eternity!!! lol i mean it's bad enough that they will all be there for a year, but do they have to kill me too by making me sit and listen to their boring common sense lectures?! aiya ya, people i tell ya.

alrighty, i'm off to go pay attention to my kitty since she HAS to play at 11:23 p.m.! it was a brief update, but i will catch up with u lovely's when i wake up.

hey everyone! sorry it takes so long for me to update nowdays. i've just been feeling so blah lately!!! how bummers is that? well, i did go shopping and it went great! i got a lot of things for cheap when they were name brand items. so i'm glad that everything worked out the way they did. i found the DRESS of my dreams for the ball and i can't wait to show pictures of it to everyone!

hey guys, i was on myspace and one of the girls on my friends list posted this on the bulletin and i thought it was so cool. i'm going to post it here, and i DON'T believe it's just for the "Military Wife". i think it's for all the friends, family, wives, girlfriends, fiance's that have loved ones in the military. so here's to you, the Military Family...

“The Military Wife”

The good Lord was creating a model for military wives and was into His sixth day of overtime when an angel appeared. She said, “Lord, You seem to be having a lot of trouble with this one. What is the matter with the standard model?”

The Lord replied, “Have you seen the specs on this order? She has to be completely independent, possess the qualities of both father and mother, be a perfect hostess to 4 or 40 with an hour’s notice, run on black coffee, handle every emergency imaginable without a manual, be able to carry on cheerfully, even if she’s pregnant and has the flu, and she must be willing to move 10 times in 17 years. And oh, yes, she must have six pairs of hands.”

The angel shook her head. “Six pairs of hands? No way!”

The Lord continued, “Don’t worry, we will make other military wives to help her. And we will giver her an unusually strong heart so it can swell with pride in her husband’s achievements, sustain the pain of separations, beat soundly when it’s over-worked and tired, and be large enough to say, ‘I understand’, when she doesn’t and say ‘I love you,’ regardless."

The angel circled the model of the military wife, looked at it closely and sighed, “It looks fine, but it’s too soft.”

“She might look soft,” replied the Lord, “but she has the strength of a lion. You would not believe what she can endure.”

Finally, the angel bent over and ran her finger across the cheek of the Lord’s creation. “There’s a leak,” she announced. “Something is wrong with the construction. I am not surprised that it has cracked. You are trying to put too much into this model.”

The Lord appeared offended at the angel’s lack of confidence. “What you see is not a leak,” He said. “It’s a tear.”

“A tear? What is it there for?” asked the angel.

The Lord replied, “It’s for joy, sadness, pain, disappointment, loneliness, pride and a dedication to all the values that she and her husband hold dear.”

“You are a Genius!” exclaimed the angel.

The Lord looked puzzled and replied, “I didn’t put it there.”

Let Him have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.

ok my lovely's, sorry i haven't been updating, i have been so busy, tired and kind of queezy. so that's where i have been all these days. haha

Jimmy, i did go to the beach (Huntington) and it was so awesome!!!! good recommendation!!! *big huggs* i took pictures, but as usual, i'm procrastinating. haha

so whoever is going to the Marine Corps Ball, i'm trying to plan an outting for us girls so we can go dress shopping. whoever wants to come, leave a comment and i'll get back to u with all the details.

hey guys, i have finally made a decision about getting a job. i have gotten numerous job offers here in 29 Palms, two of which are base jobs. i took one of the job offers which was a general clerk position at the child daycare. but due to other employees there, i don't feel like it's a need for me to be working all those crazy hours and getting treated the way they have been treating me. plus, it's difficult already that the Marine Corps decided to take my husband away last minute, and next week, he's going to the field during the day, but coming home at night. the week after that, they said he's going to be gone until November 2 which is going to be a month away in the field. now our cat, she is really dependent on me mostly, and somewhat of Josh....but she really wants the both of us with her, you know? the Marine Corps is really screwing us over because of the fact that not only is the field schedule messed up, the people going on advanced deployment, which is Josh, he might get deployed for a year instead of 6-7 months. so yeah, i think i got it harder than the majority of the other wives in his battalion.

i was also thinking that maybe just getting a part time job is good because i'm the type of person that has to work and make money or else i'll go crazy. lol so yeah...i have no clue what to do as of right now as far as my job situtation goes. i want to be with my cat so she doesn't feel lonely at all parts of the day, but i also want to work, and go to school...all that jazz.

as i am typing this, i feel so selfish...but yet...there are a lot of people telling me to be selfish and it's ok to be selfish about these type of things. so i'm asking all of my best xanga friends to help me, give me advice, because i really do appreciate u guys always being there for me and i can't wait to read all of your responses and finally come to a conclusion.

hey everyone, sorry for bailing out like i did. i've been working crazy hours and then having the hubby leave to go to the field on 10 mins notice! errrr...those punks! but the kitty and i have been doing really good, she misses her dad, but at least he's coming home on Wednesday for the football game, and then Thursday night just to go to duty on Friday. haha the Marine Corps are so nutty...

anywho, i have to tell ya'll about this retarded MP story that i got in tonight. so i was going to Carl's Jr. (cravings are a b**** during PMS, i tell ya! haha ) and i live in condor heights so i was right by the YMCA stop sign when all these MP cars are rushing with their sirens on and such...and i was wondering "whoa...what happened?!" haha, and u know, did my face.... lol , so i was driving and right when i was about to turn left, this car on the other side of the light honked their horn at me and i was like "wth" is ure problem, when i looked through the rearview mirror and there was an MP trying to get through. the problem is is that they didn't have their siren on and they expected me to know to get out of the way? how retarded can MP's get?! how can u expect someone to know u are in a rush to get somewhere when u don't have ure siren on and u are in the back of someone? and u know me and my history with MP's and proving their stupidity...haha so that right there is why MP's are so retarded and idiotic. lol...

hey all my lovely xanga readers! *big huggs* to ya!!!

i'm sorry for my short hiatus again. i have been really busy trying to figure out a lot of stuff that i have to do before the big move back to California. but so far everything has been going great!

my funny story of the day:

Cousins+Driving Lessons=PRAY FOR DEAR LIFE

i usually am the one to teach my cousins how to drive when that wonderful time in their lives have come. so usually, i start them off slow like in an empty high school parking lot or on a road not travelled by many cars so they can go in a straight line. well, my cousin first asked me what the letter N stood for. i told her it stood for Neutral. her reply, so why do they have Park? i told her basically to tell people like u that u just weren't meant to drive. (NOTE: we are a very joking/sarcastic family). she just laughed me off and started the car. she was making a right turn which should ordinarly be easy since no one else was there, but she was getting really close to the curb. the dialogue when as follows-

Me: to close!

Her: how can u tell dude?

Me: trust girl, u are turning to close...

Her: not even Adele

*bump!* my face=

Her: damn Dele, u need to loose some weight. haha

Me: haha ureself u nutbrain. i told u it was to close...man...ignoramous. haha.

Her: let me try again!

Me: ah...that's ok...

Her: i can parallel park u know...

Me: oh really?! show me how u can parallel park. u can't even make a right turn dude!

Her: watch me...

*she pulls up right by the street*

Her: there.

Me: haha! u nerdling, a parallel park means u park inbetween 2 cars!

Her: oh...u sure?

Me: yeah, i've been driving for how long now?

Her: oh yeah, since the stoneage...

Me: haha that's right...hey...i'm not THAT old. i'm a young spring chicken!

Her: haha in ure dreams cous...

my cousin i tell ya... people like her on the road scared me...and that was just our first lesson. pray for my safety guys...and pray that i get a football helmet to protect me.

i found out that my little sis here on xanga (Sarah to visit her page) knows someone at the base where me and the hubby are at....can ya guess?! her older brother!!! i was so excited to hear that because it is just such a small world! we were chatting it up here on xanga and had no clue how close we are to each other in the military family world. hehe how awesome is that?!

omgosh, Christina, u wouldn't guess how much stuff i have accumulated in college...it all came in yesterday and i was like "YIKES!!!" not to mention all the stuff that the hubby took back with him to California...aiya ya mamamia!!! what girls we are huh? haha

Jimmy!!! i have some really awesome beach pictures now too! as soon as i load them, i will post them so u can see all the awesome waves. they weren't to big, but some major waves will be coming in soon...i think they said in a few days!
