| Thursday: Last day of summer school! Plus shopping with Phillip. Friday: Phillip and I went to the airport at 4:30AM and flew to Salt Lake City. We had a 2 hour layover so we just had some Panda Express and waited. Then, our flight was delayed for a few hours so we had some Burger King. We went on the plane and waited an hour while they fixed some maintenence issue and then, they had a crew issue so we had to get off the plane. They told us to come back at 5:30, which turned to 7 which turned to 8:30 which turned to around 10. In between, we ate gross burritos and some amazing pizza at Wolfgang Puck. YUMMEH. Anyways, a crew from Atlanta flew in and took us to Honolulu. I hate DELTA at Salt Lake City. Ugh. Saturday: Arrived at the lovely Waikiki Parc Hotel in Honolulu, Oahu. We got lei'd at the airport but were kind of too grumpy to care. Everyone in Hawaii is soo laid back and chill! I love it. Phillip and I went on an Atlantis Submarine Tour and saw a bunch of sea animals. It was sooo fun. Sunday: Woke up and went to the beach. Phillip and I went on the Catamaran Sunset Cruise ship and sat with two ladies that work for a beer company and a couple who met on eHarmony on their honeymoon. Very fun. Talked about Brett Favre a lot and ate some good food, saw the sunset, took a bunch of photos. We hung out with Nancy and Owen, who were also in Waikiki, and had some amazzzzzing snow cones. They were super flavored ice shavings with sorbet and fresh fruit. Amazing. We watched Kevin the Clown for a while too. He's just so amusing. Monday: Went on the Grand Circle Tour of Oahu. Our tour guide was Cousin Good Lookin' and he was hilarrrious. We met two people from Missouri (Rick and his wife ?) on the tour and a couple with two twin girls, Alexandria and Natalia. SO ADORABLE. They were turning two the next day. We saw Diamond Head and Hanauma Bay and then went to a bunch of other scenic places. We also went to a Macadamia Nut Farm and the Dole Pineapple Plantation. YOMMEH. The tour guide wanted to get us away from the tourist-y part of Waikiki and into the real Hawaii, so we went to North Shore and then to real beachs that were not man-made. We also went to a cemetary that was famous (Punchbowl?) and learned a lot of interesting facts about Hawaii and life in general there (for example, the high cost of living and how rich the school was). We sung a lot of songs and heard a lot of jokes. Tuesday: We went on a tour of the USS Arizona of Pearl Harbor. The twins were on the tour with us! And we saw Rick and his wife there too. Phillip and I played mom and dad to the girls, which was really fun but kind of weird because all the Asian tourists would videotape our every move and snap pictures of us or ask to take pictures with them. Basically, we were famous for a day but it was kind of annoying. They weren't being very secretive about it. After the tour, we went on a city tour and saw the National Cemetery of the Pacific and The I'olani Palace and the King Kamehameha statue. Phillip left my phone on the bus, so we met up with David and Avi (parents of the twins haha) and got to see the girls again! We also went to the US Army Museum. Afterwards, we went to Germaine's Luau and saw Rick and his wife again. We sat with some cool people and had a really good time. Afterwards, we just KO'ed. Wednesday: Phillip and I went on the Diamond Head Hike with a bunch of people. Super narrow, steep steps and dark tunnels but the view was really worth it. We even got certificates! We went to the beach afterwards and ate Takoyaki (octopus balls) and haupia pie (coconut pie!). We went to the Ala Moana shopping mall with almost 300 stores. That mall made no sense though. It was SOO confusing, but the food court was amazing so it made up for that. Thursday: Phillip and I went snorkeling in Hanauma Bay. It was hard to do at first because our snorkels kind of sucked but it was amaazing seeing all those fish up close. They're really not afraid of you so they'll swim right up to you. We took a bunch of underwater photos but we'll see how they turn out. We both ended up being super sunburnt on our shoulders, since we were face-down in the water most of the time. We shopped and ate after we got back and showered and then went to the airport. We sat on the plane for two hours until they told us the flight was cancelled because the co-pilot was sick. So we waited for ages and then were taken back to the Maile Sky Court Castle Resort, waited some more, and then got rooms and food vouchers. Phillip and I didn't have a flight out until Sunday night because nothing was going to Sacramento until then, so for now we have an extended vacation. Friday, Saturday, Sunday: Relaxing, Glow in the Dark Miniature Golf, eating at Vit's, shopping on the strip, etc.
Notes: ABC Stores have taken over Waikiki, amazing Melon Icees, really tender Kalua pork, cinnamnon macadamia nuts, humid but breezy weather, very chill locals, salty beaches, and amazing chicken wings at Da Big Kahuna.

| This has not been a very good week for me.
It is not like having my cake and eating it too. I can still do both but I guess it's just not possible.
Whatever, two more weeks and I'm done with summer school and done with being Stateside for a while. Ghaifdhsdjk

| My days feel long, but short. I have work at 7:30 till 10AM, and then I go to school until around 4:30PM. Then I go home and do stupid homework until forevah (luckily, I don't have the crazy Russian lady anymore. Now I have a crazy white guy who is much more likable but more crazy in terms of throwing calculators against the wall. That is Monday-Thursday. Thennnn, I work all day Friday. I think Phillip works Fri-Sun so we basically can never hang out except for going to and from school and our Anthropology class (MAGIC, WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY RELIGION). The exorcism and ghost videos we watch scare me. I can't stay downstairs by myself anymore haha. Anyways, I need to update the past few days for Future-Jenny to read.
On Thursday, I hung out with Ryan Malloy, Zainy Poo, Alex C., Vanessa, Bri, Jay, and Phillip. Carlos C. came by for a while too! It was just like high school with the guys, plus Phillip. Many potentially awkward situations but I think it went well. I'm glad two important people in my life finally got to meet each other, and I'm very glad that it went well and they like each other well enough.
On Friday, I went camping with my mom, Raymond, Wendy, Henry and their mom and Bruce, and Phillip. Instead of going to Tahoe like we usually do, we went to Sunrise, Union Valley. It reminded me a lot of Tahoe in terms of campground and the weather and the bodies of water everywhere. Nice. We went to the lake by our campsite and just messed around then made a shitload of food and me, Wen and Phillip made shish kabobs by ourselves! Phillip and I told everyone about zombies and vampires and all the crazy ass shit we learn in class (there have been actual zombie outbreaks in the world! Most recently in California, actually). The next day, we went on a hike to another lake and then relaxed in a stream. My mom fell because the rocks were slippery, and so did me and Wen. Afterwards, Sophie and Vansen came and we ate a bit and then went back to the lake by our campsite and ate some watermelon. Then, we all went back to the campsite for a much needed nap. We woke up, made dinner and had smores. Vansen and I made corn (Vansen burned it) and then he proceeded to burn the forest down. There are so many fires going on in Nor cal now (the sky is usually greyish sans two or three days) so we really don't need pyros like him out in the world. Afterwards, everyone came back to our tent and we played a huge game of spoons. My mom is vicious!
After we got home on Sunday, I showered and then watched Fight Club with Zain and Alex. Good movie, plus it was nice having Alex there explain all the nuances haha. He's analyzed that movie so much. Afterwards, we went to Daphne's for some fake Greek food. A lot of people asked my nationality that day. And today. I don't know why. Had some nice talks and then went back to Zain's house and hung out with his neighbors for a bit. They had the cutest shitzhu puppy EVAR. I wanniiit.
Today in Magic class (lawl I love saying that) we had a Mock Trial remniscent of the Salen Witch Trials to demonstrate the phenomenon of mass hysteria. The only way to end mass hysteria was to reaffirm your innocence and do not take anyone down with you, if accused. Back then, witch trials would wipe out around 2/3 of entire villages just because people were pushed to give names and admit things they did not do just to stop the torture. I, of course, was the first one accused of being a witch (the accuser's job was just to accuse people, as she was one of the "victims"). Phillip was the jailkeeper, so our teacher treaded carefully because she thought I would be mad. She made him chaperone me to the bathroom because they thought I was trying to escape in the middle of the hearing but I just had to pee. Suddenly, a huge spider appeared on the wall behind me and of course it meant I was a witch. They asked questions like "how long have you been copulating with the devil" and "who else is in your clan," which of course gave me no room to say I wasn't actually a witch. I pointed this out and a few other logical fallacies but I guess I gave them too much trouble (since I didn't have a broom, I said I used a vaccuum and they go "DIRT DEVIL!" and I was sent to jail. Angela was sent to jail after me, even though she started coughing during my hearing and I was accused of causing this affliction upon her. Us "witches" tried to bring the judges down with us (there were five, all men) and we managed to hang three hahaha, one because he had a tattoo (they jailed another girl for having the "mark of the devil;" even though she was a real "witch", it was a cool tattoo: the symbol for the chaos theory) and another because he had an Abercrombie and Fitch shirt on, and the "A" stood for adulturer. When they asked him "how do you kow you're not a witch" like they asked everyone else, he of course, did not know. Finally, Emma was being tried as a witch and she showed everyone her 666 tattoo (one of her thirteen tattoos) and just said "forget witches, I'm Satan" hahahahah. They sent her to jail and asked if everyone there was a witch, and she said "everyone but Jenny" so I was let out. At the end of the mock trial, I had to tell everyone that I was, in fact, a "witch" (our teacher Tami chose four girls to be real witches; two of us survived, two didn't). It was pretty funny. I miss doing random stuff like that...it was so reminiscent of high school.

| Wanted: Good movie. Highly recommended. It's like a Matrix with a sense of humour (I read that on IMDB and that about sums it up perfectly). I love badasses and Angelia Jolie. Charlie Bartlett: It was okay. Anton Yelnich (how to do you spell it?) plays the character well but something was missing in the movie. Jumper: Okay, Hayden Christensen is hot but that's all this movie has. I really didn't like how it ended. Also, I notice a trend in movies where a guy is in love with a girl and the guy leaves for a while and comes back richer/stronger/with superpowers and finds the girl still in the same hometown, working at the town pub. Why? Like in Just Friends and...I can't think of anything else right now but there's more.
