| | So what's new? Well this past week I was hired to one of my favorite stores Abercrombie & Fitch. Though I have applied to them
and their sister company Hollister Co. before, this time I actually got it!!
Although I do think they are the banal epitome of American mainstream fashion,
the idea that I work there still rox my sox. Go discounts!! I only work
like 10 hours a week as a member of the impact team, which means I'll deal more
work with stocking and organizing (I really didn't feel comfortable if I knew my
job was to make people uncomfortable barking lame catch phrases like *in bubbly
voice* "have you heard about are low rise jeans?") So now it's only
to find another better paying job hopefully at some moderately-priced chain
restaurant as a host or waiter.
In other news Europe's Number one retailer H&M opened at my local mall, as
the first location in Michigan, which may be surprising to us locals who
thought they would of picked a more swanky location like Somerset Mall of
Troy who already houses such names as Saks, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany
& Co. just to name a few. So I guess I should just consider myself lucky.
Unfortunately the men's section was like 2% of the store, much smaller than
what I saw of Toronto’s three-story plus mega store (only adding to my list of
why I should relocate to the big city, most likely nyc), which I leave at fault
to the commons man's deprivation of the vitality of retail therapy but w/e
c'est la vie. haha 'til next time adieu |
