Jump Back: The Best of the Rolling Stones 1971-1993

Wow. So I haven't been on here in a while but school is going great. Busy, but great. I love my friends, I love my classes, I love my schedule, I love my teachers (most of them), and I love my life right now.

So basically I'll give a rundown of my classes.
Gym is stupid this year because they're actually taking it seriously.
Chem is reaally fun so far. It's not as hard as I thought and I'm having an awesome time in lab (we just started using the Bunsen burners today). Alex is my lab partner (surprise, surpise) and I like Mrs. Badini.
Computer graphics has to be my favorite class. Me and Karen goof off the whole class, but we just started learning Illustrator and we're learning Photoshop next quarter. It's great because graphic design must be my #1 hobby and I love having a class devoted to it.
Programming pretty fun too so far, though we haven't actually done any Java work.
English is cool because I have Katie, Ashley, and Amanda in my class and we all sit together and Mr. Beers is entertaining in like a really stupid way. I still hate English, but I guess that class isn't so bad.
I have A lunch most days, which I was psyched about until I found out I had like 4 friends in it with me. The D-Day lunch crowd is cooler, even though it's B lunch.
Calculus. Wow. On the first day Mrs. O'Brien went on and on for about 15 minutes about how hard it would be. But it's not so hard so far, considering it's my only AP class, but maybe it's because we learned most of the stuff before. My class is a bit more entertaining this year though. I'm looking forward to it though.
French is just amazing. I sit with Luisa, Kaellen, and Erica and that class is just so much fun. I love the people in it and I love Madame.
History is probably the class I hate the most, because of two reasons: I can't stand US history because I find it boring as hell, and I can tell Mr. Reno already hates me. Glad I didn't take AP and took it last year for world history.

I signed up for like 9753 clubs including Mathletes, drama club, JSA, French club, forensics club, yearbook, and maybe Essence (I actually can't stand that thing, but I might submit some graphic art to it, if I can). I'm also doing Driver's Ed, which starts on Monday.

I went to the yearbook photography meeting today and our assignment was to take as many pictures around school and sports and stuff over the next week, which I'm looking forward to. I might be doing some designing and/or photo editing for the yearbook later in the year too.

I don't really have time to talk about anything else, cause there is more to talk about. I gotta go do homework, get my camera ready for tomorrow, etc. So later =]

Tomorrow=1st day of school
bleh.

I got woken up at 7:00 this morning by the evil construction people in my house. We just got started redoing the bathrooms and we have no running water on for most of the day and the house is filled with loud banging noises. It's not cool at all.

Tonight I have the orientation thingy at school where we get our planners and locker assignments and get to put our stuff in our lockers. I can't believe we're actually gonna be juniors. Like after this year, there will be only one more time we get to do all the fun things we do every year at LuHi. And then college. And then everything changes. It just really hit me yesterday that I take SATs in the spring. I always thought they were such a long way off, but now they're right around the corner. And we get to go to prom this year. Wow. This is gonna gonna be a tough year, but I think I'm ready.

But what I was gonna say was this orientation is gonna make me miss the season premiere of House tonight. I'll have to tape it. But I am really obsessed with this show lately. I never really liked medical dramas, or even dramas, but there's something about this show. I think it's the character House. He's incredibly sarcastic (and funny at times), mean to all his patients, and just doesn't seem to care, but he's a genius and ends up saving their lives (most of the time). I guess I'm drawn to people like that. Hugh Laurie is a fantastic actor. I rented discs 2 & 3 of season 1, because they're to expensive to buy, in my opinion and I'll probably never have time to watch them again with school starting.

I really ranted a lot.
Who knows when I'll update this again. I may be buried in homework until the end of the week =[

EDIT_3:31PM

I forgot to say this when I was writing before, but The Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin died and I'm really sad because he was really cool and did a lot for animal conservation.
R.I.P. STEVE IRWIN =[

Day: Thursday, August 24th, 2006
Weather: Pretty sunny out. It's nice.
Mood: Relaxed.
Music: Looking for a Kiss by The New York Dolls

Don't you love it when life is just slow and easy? Because that's kind of how mine is right now. I really haven't done anything since I got back and I love it. It just sucks because school starts next Wednesday and it's all gonna end abruptly.

My new cell phone arrived yesterday. It's a Motorola L2. It won't activate =[ My Kangaroos came too and they look awesome, but I'm not gonna wear them till the first day of school so they look fabulous for school.

Tomorrow I think I'll be hanging out with Luisa and Ashley and then Mike's annual block party is on Saturday. And I'm hoping Katie, Amanda, and I can do some sort of Q-Zar or Adventureland outing next week.

Lately, I cannot get The Smiths' Singles CD out of my CD player. My dad gave me one of their albums a couple weeks ago and I liked it and decided to buy their Singles and now I'm hooked. Morrissey is a genius.

I'm back.
I know you're all thrilled.

Anyway the cruise was amazing! I miss it a lot and want to go again. We went to the Caribbean- Turks & Caicos, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. John, and Bermuda. I took endless amounts of pictures that I plan to post eventually. Maybe. AND I ran into my old friend Mona on the cruise! It was so awesome seeing her again and we hung out a lot.

ALSO, on Saturday I finally went to see Sweeney Todd with Katie, Danny, and Amanda. We ate at Carmine's and then walked to the theatre. We had front row seats and it was soo cool because the actors came right up to you. Anyway, the show was really great and I'd make everyone go see it if it wasn't going off Broadway September 3rd =[ Katie and Danny had backstage passes and I guess met the whole cast? But me and Amanda had to leave to go to the Chelseas' Sweet 16, which was on the beach and it was a lot of fun and we had a great time.

Today is Joe Strummer's birthday and I'm listening to all my Clash CD's in celebration. Because me and Alex were supposed to have a party or something but I never got to talk to him about it. Oh well.

EDIT8/22_10:56AM

Cruise Pictures!
(I took so many pictures, so for this I only picked my favorite ones)

The Verrazano bridge as we left out of New York. It was pretty funny because the boat just barely fit under the bridge.

One of the pools.

A pretty picture I took while we were eating breakfast. Turks & Caicos are outside the window.

The ship taken from the beach on Turks & Caicos. (we went power snorkeling on a different beach that I wasn't able to get any pictures of- the reefs there were beautiful).

A cool picture I took on the way back to the ship.

A flower in the rainforest of Puerto Rico.

A palm tree in that same rainforest.

The path we walked on during our trip to the rainforest.

The waterfall. Me and my brother climbed the rocks on it. We were also allowed to drink the water and it tasted AMAZING.

That's me on the waterfall. A really bad picture of me.

The streets of Old San Juan. There was even a Starbucks there!

There was a party on the ship that night.

On the catamaran we took from St. Thomas to St. John. This is where we were docked at St. John. We went snorkeling and the water was really really clear.

The beach we went to in St. John. I was really, really sad I couldn't take my camera on the beach because we were docked off shore and had to swim to the beach. But that beach was seriously one of the most beautiful beaches I've been to.

Back on the docks at St. Thomas.

The champagne waterfall they had the next night. I didn't stay for the whole thing, but it must have taken them forever to fill that whole thing up.

As we got off the ship in Bermuda.

The thing in the foreground is the top of a shipwreck which we got to look at through a glass bottom boat. That island in the background marks the apex of the Bermuda Triangle.

We went snorkeling by a coral reef. But there were so many jellyfish, everyone was getting stung.

The bungalow houses on the water with the traditional Bermudian white roofs.

One of the dining rooms.
