ALIVE!

I am alive for all who care. I am just trying to get by. I have had a crazy last 4 months. I have lost my job, my fiance, and  may end up losing my kid. So life is grand. I was drinking a lot, but now I am concentrating on just getting back to being normal. I posted new pics of the little guy and some of me. Hope everyone out there is doing well.

Hey

I know I have sooo been out of the Xanga for a long time, sio rather than try to catch up on anything, I will just say hello to anyone who actually ends up reading this, and then I will bitch about being FIRED FOR NO REASON on May 25th from my old employer. *BLEEP* Them. I am so happy to be gone anyways. So I have been out of work for almost two months. Fortunately, though they tried to screw me and prevent me form getting unemployment, I was not fired for performance, attendance or competency issues. I was fired because someone didn't like me. And because of that, I AM RECEIVING UNEMPLOYMENT. LOL. So I am just a bum at home all day spending the time of my life with my Son. He is a doll. I will post a bunch of pics of him, because he rocks. L8r.

I am so tired of hearing all of this bitching about the Super Bowl halftime show. What a crock. I happen to like almost every act that performs for the Super Bowl halftime shows. Why is it that all of these artist are complaining? The Super Bowl is a private enterprise, and they have all rights to select the venue and the talent that will be used to represent them. The part that makes me most upset though, is the narrow minded, shallow, and racially slanted complaints that are being used. NOT ONE of the complaints have said, “Hey, there are hundreds of amazing artists that have come out of Motown.” No, the complaint is that there are a ton of amazing BLACK artists from Motown, and why were they not asked? All of the press articles are focusing on black artists who feel slighted: Aretha. Smokey. Diana Ross and the Supremes. The Commodores. Martha Reeves. Michael Jackson. I understand and RESPECT that. I LOVE Aretha. I ADORE Diana. But the extent of their Star Power nowadays is limited to charity dinners, and television specials honoring one of their colleagues that fell off the public radar 20 years ago. Motown is the home of some of the greatest musicians, singers & songwriters in the world. Both black AND white. Let us not forget some other almost famous Michigan and Detroit exports: Eminem, The White Stripes, Grand Funk Railroad and Madonna. Anyone ever heard of Kid Rock? The Stones are a cultural icon. They still sell out EVERY SHOW they do. They are guaranteed sellers. And let us not forget, this game is not about the halftime show. THIS game is about football. THIS game is about RATINGS. Ads during this game do not sell for $3 Million because of the Half-Time show. They sell because of the game. And NO ORGANIZER of ANY event, especially one that rakes in nearly $300 Million in advertising and regional economic impact is going to book an act from the 50’s and 60’s heyday of Motown. Let’s get real. Let us focus on the important facts. This is going to be a landmark Super Bowl game, and those players on the field, sweating, bleeding and fighting for the coveted Lombardi Trophy. Let the games begins, and I could give a shit who gets to dance around and sing while we snack and talk smack about the game during halftime.
