i have to pass the sad news... i will
be forgoing Christmas presents this year... so this means no CHRISTMAS
RUN this year... totally sucks...
i'm trying to
concentrate most of my income to my debt and so my family will be
getting the uber gifts... sorry guys... you're not the only ones
suffering...
i LOVED doing the Christmas Shopping...
but being the selfish person that i am,
i'm still gonna post up my Christmas and Bday wishlist hahahahha!
i will be getting a
few ppl little gifts still but nothing big *bigger gifts will now be

| a new perspective... on an old thought...
for
some reason i got to thinkin about something we all say... but we say
it so nonchalantly that it's become a trivial phrase...
if not an afterthought to something we think we've conquered...
"live and learn"
we say it when we've managed to "survive" something... and sometimes the experiences haven't really resolved anything...
but rather... we've found a more efficient way of suppressing the cumbersome thoughts over something we can't change...
it's
become something we kind of say when we brush something off... "oh i've
just gone through something shitty... but oh well... live and learn..."
for some reason i got into thinking about what it could really mean... (i
think i went into uber thinking mode because i was watching Blue Planet
late at night so my friggin neurons were firing already)
so anyways... apply this phrase to my perspective on life...
to live... IS to learn... (at least for me)
the
purpose of life is to enjoy and take in as much of it as possible...
because our time here is so indefinate... it's so short... and we all
die missing out on so much... and as cliche as it is, we really aren't
promised a tomorrow.
There is obviously no absolute meaning of
life... because it is relative to each person... it is relative to
their own experiences...
we make choices that can either propel us
forward or hinder us in ways that we cannot change. Our choices alter
our experiences... and sometimes we are victims of the choices of
others.
if we're lucky, these mistakes will cost us very little...
and yes... we can learn from them... but some mistakes, although
seemingly insignificant, can set off a chain of events that that
essentially destroy us as human beings...
this goes back to how we
use the phrase to brush off an experience as if it's not a big deal
anymore... sometimes we make mistakes that kill us.
We die a little as human beings... we may lose our compassion... we lose our ability to trust... we lose our ability to love...
once
those mistakes are made... we brush them off and say "oh well... live
and learn" but a piece of us was sacrificed for that "lesson"...
so in essence...
we are lucky to be alive...
and
if we are lucky enough to actually SURVIVE a mistake/experience without
losing ourselves or dying (whether physically or emotionally)... we
learn...
so yes... IF you live... you learn...
and that's my new take on that phrase...

| someone rock me to sleep tonight... *sigh*
so interesting thing happened today... i was scared shitless by my own house...
right as i pulled into my driveway i got a call from my dad...
"where are you?"
"i just got home"
"are u inside?"
"no, why?"
"the alarm went off... they just called me and said they sent a police officer out there"
greeaaatt....
one of my BIGGEST irrational fears is someone slipping into the house
(like the split second u leave the door open to bring groceries in or
something) and like...
just walking around at night... watching u sleep...
until they do something crazy... (that's why i hate it when doors are open only a crack...)
i
wasn't about to have that fear be RATIONALIZED by some freakish event..
so i was too scared to go inside... AND it was thundering... talk about
a horror movie setup right there...
so i walked around to the
front... checked the doors and they were still locked... checked all
the windows and they were all ok...
called my dad back...
"dad,
did they send the cops out already? or are they on their way?" (bc i
didn't want to go in unless someone had already checked it out)
"i dont know the alarm company called me about 5min before i called you... are u parked in the driveway?"
"yea im on the driveway..."
"why didnt u park in the street?"
"why would i park on the street?"
"well what if someone runs out of the house?"
yea....
THANKS FOR THAT DAD!!! dude right when he said that i yelled "DAD!
JEEZ!" and i walked to the front of the house... lol jeez... he just
has a way with words...
so i call Sugar Land PD to check and see if any units were dispatched to my house or if they were on the way...
the lady on the phone asks for my address and says "yes the area was already cleared"
so
i'm like ok cool... i walk into the house still scared... do a quick
check around the house to see what might have set the alarm off but no
sign of anything/anyone...
friggin 10min later the doorbell rings... and it's a constable from the sheriff's office... i was like WTF?!??!
i
walk out and tell him that sugar land PD told me it was cleared and he
goes "Oh the call doesn't go to SLPD it goes directly to the sheriff's
dept"
...
ok... so i was told that my house was safe.. by sugar land PD.. when apparently they didnt even know if it was...
that just makes me feel so much better about going to bed tonight...
i dunno why but i'm STILL kinda nervous right now...
i
guess that's what happens when u have an irrational fear... it just
lingers even when there's seemingly nothing to be scared about...

just updating because i'm eating right now and i thought i'd share my
HATRED OF LEMON GRASS with my fellow xangsters...
Lemon grass... oh how i loath the... let me count the ways...
1. Your flavor makes me feel like i'm ingesting my lawn.
2. Your texture is so gritty!
3. That very grittiness makes a sound when i chew that is like nails on a chalkboard to me... it's like a crunch... but not quite a crunch... it's more like my teeth grinding...
3. The tofu i love so much is SMOTHERED in you... why did you have to ruin my tofu?
4. Your gritty/stringy/unchewable texture gets you lodged in my teeth.... so i can further suffer through numbers 1 and 2 until i finally give up trying to remove you with my tongue and simply brush my teeth...
that is all...
