  • A Career in Usefulness

"When I cannot understand my Father's leading,

and it seems to be but hard and cruel fate.

Still I hear that gentle whisper ever pleading,

God is working, God is faithful, ONLY WAIT."

Managed to fetch my missing stuff at church, finally. Saw Heroes the previous evening. Wonderful.

    Things to Do:

    _ Pray
    _ Prepare for event night
    _ Prepare for other projects
_ write a song or two
    _ pick a school
    _ fill up I-20 application
    _ pray some more

    Cheers,
    Marwin

  • A Long, Winding Road

Song of the Day:  Restored (Live)  by Jeremy Camp

    Devotional:

"God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God shall help her at the break of day."
    Psalm 46:5

What an encouragement it is to know that if Christ is in the center of anything and everything that we do, He will ensure that we are not moved by any trial or tribulation; and our God will surely come to our rescue.

    Update:

Transparency isn't easy, but it's so much better than being bitter, angry, and confused. Thank you guys for catching me -- even in the little-est things. I appreciate it. I'm glad to know that you guys got me accountable. And, of course, my besprend, for being, well, the best-est :)

Tatay and I got to drive around after the church anniversary yesterday. We ended up walking in Newport Beach. Fun times with my dad.

Afterwards, I was at HQ. I love it.

    Cheers,
    Marwin

    Song of the Day:
      Still by Hillsong United

    Hide me now
    Under Your wing.
    Cover me
    Within Your mighty hand.

When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with You above the storm.
Father, You are King over the flood.
I will be still and know You are God.

    Find rest, my soul
    In Christ alone.
    Know his power
    In quietness and trust.

    Update:

I'm about to sleep. Just read through my devotional. The pieces are coming together. This pause, or 'break', in the musical composition that is my life is here, at this precise moment, for a perfect reason. Thank you, God. I couldn't have made it without You; and all I need is You.

    Cheers,
    Marwin

  •    Another Thursday
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Theme song of the Day:  Wonderful God by Hillsong
    Devotions: Daniel 6:20

"O Daniel, servant of the living God,
is thy God whom you serve continually, able to save you?"

At times -- most times, actually -- it takes persecution and sorrow to bring light into the world. At that moment, will we still stand firm in our faith? Will we take heart the knowledge that our God is a living God -- and that He is unchanging despite our circumstances, or how we feel?

What's the Ups?:  It's early. And I'm kinda still sleepy. It was Brent's birthday yesterday, but as a family, we will be celebrating-izing that today. Congrats my besprend for being one of only six who passed the text. I'm so proud of you, besprend :D Muah!

In other news, ACF YOUTH please read Philippians 2 and try to take note of its message :) Also, call for rides TODAY, tonight at the latest, not tomorrow :D Love you guys!

    Cheers,
    Marwin
