. walk the line comes out on tuesday.  i used to work with johnathan rice, the guy who plays roy orbison.  very talented guy.  go buy the movie, the soundtrack, whatever.
. there's something therapeutic about doing laundry, especially when i'm alone.  and i love the fact that my hands smell like dryer sheets right now.
. midwinter formal at VMI was a blast last weekend.  jessee surprised me for valentine's day and got me a VERY nice hotel, and we went out for a nice dinner with his roommates and their dates.  he's so sweet.
. next week and the week after are going to kick my butt.  the workload for this semester is insane.  i have five papers due next week alone.  such are the perks of being an english major, i suppose.
. i'd love to have a pizza right now.  ohmygosh.  ham, green peppers, and tomatoes. thick crust.  what's your perfect pizza?

i love my boyfriend.  he writes upside down really well.

i think the worst thing about living out here is probably the fact that there are no decent places that do eyebrow waxing.  therefore, i have some wild and untamed eyebrows... well, i take that back.  i take care of myself.  they're just... thick.  being a girl sucks sometimes.

i took a swig of nyquil a few minutes ago (and yes, that is my official dosage).  it's fun to try and fight the effects of it.  the room may be spinning, my body may be slowing down, and i may be laughing at nothing in particular, but i am winning this fight (for the moment)!  i'm just going to laugh if this makes sense to me as i am typing it right now, and tomorrow i wake up and realize that this has been written in some sort of weird, misspelled code.  haha.  that would be cool.  nyquil gives you the ability to create new languages!  drink up, drink up!

I HATE BEING SICK.

oh.  and this post is dedicated to steven braaaack, because it's really his fault that i'm updating.  curse you, steven.  xanga nazi.

and speaking of steven, i could really go for some pancakes right about now.  blueberry ones would be ideal!

... did any of this make sense?

WOW.

that was a pretty long break.  i'm sure everyone has disappeared by now.  i'll be surprised if i get any comments at all.

let's catch up on a few things.

. christmas was GREAT.  i got to spend it with jessee for the first time in over three years.  i love that boy.
. semester #2 at radford.  eh.  okay.  a few complaints, but i'm trying to keep them to myself.
. ring figure at VMI = fun.  good stuff.
. i want to teach creative writing when i graduate.  and maybe write.  i've been throwing up poetry like it was food poisoning.  it just keeps coming and coming.  and the thing is, some people actually like it.  that's usually a bonus.

i'll just catch up with some pictures.  that's easier.

spent thanksgiving and christmas breaks catching up with some of my favorite people back home.  it was defininitely some good times.  (i'm sure there are some photos missing, but they're probably all on facebook...)

also got to spend some time with my favoritestest person ever.

and we went to VMI's ring figure, where jessee got his class ring.

my parents came to visit this past weekend.  we went to VMI on sunday...

so that's (most of) the rundown.  lots of things going on... midwinter formal this saturday, spring break on march 10, classclassclass... the list just continues.  most of it is good, though.  well... i guess.  i'll update again later if i have the time... and if i have the motivation.

this post is mostly for my mommy, but i guess it's for the rest of you guys too... if nothing more than to let you know that i am still alive, contrary to popular belief, and i haven't fallen off the face of the earth.

1.)  watch this amazing video.  i found it on my computer a while ago, and the laughter that ensued was uncontrollable.  the quality is pretty pathetic since it was taken with my digital camera, and there is no sound -- but i think the silence makes it even funnier.  i think just about everyone should at least be able to make out the "i'm special, i'm special" part.

watch me!

2.)  school is kicking my butt, but i recently found out that i have a 4.0!  i suppose that should be enough to keep me from complaining.  maybe i'm too much of a perfectionist, or maybe i just try harder than some other people.  the verdict is still out on whether or not that is a good thing.

3.)  ring figure for the class of 2007 is just around the corner!  i will have to post pictures of my dress sooner or later.  i'm excited -- it sounds like it will be tons of fun -- but i'm more excited about what it means for jessee.  he gets his class ring, and i couldn't be more proud of him.  hopefully that means i will get my ring soon... wink wink!

4.)  i miss my family like crazy!  i can't wait to get home and have some real food and not have to wash my dishes in a teeny, tiny sink every time i make a peanut butter & jelly sandwich... hopefully i will not have to eat any pb&j while i am there, for that matter.  other things i look forward to when i am home: trying on my lovely dress and finding the perfect matching earrings; eating with utensils other than spoons, because that is all i use to eat food in my room; looking in the fridge and finding edible food that is not covered in mold; and getting a good backrub!

5.)  parents weekend at RU was  on the 15-16, and rachel's family came down to visit.  we had a blast!  lots of picture-taking opportunities...
