((finishing off James and Diana's narrative! Remember, Cormac & James & Diana are one story...Susan is on her own other story...it'll branch back though! NO worries! Narrative...duh? You know the format!)) Cormac couldn't help worrying about Susan, but his thoughts were more on Diana. Was she okay? Was she going to get more sick the longer he was away? Why didn't James stay behind and watch Diana? Or maybe it was because James felt as if he needed to go... Cormac tried to sort his thoughts as he came to the main fireplace and looked behind him to see James tagging along behind him, shuffling his feet uneasily. He seemed just as lost in thought as Cormac was. "Come on," Cormac said, and they stepped into the fireplace slowly. Cormac grasped a handful of green dust and looked at James. "Where did you first meet Brian?" James asked, and Cormac thought back in time, where he caught Susan in Brian's arms, laughing. He knew he shouldn't tell that to James just not yet... "Ireland....we'll go to my home and we'll look from there..." Cormac said, his words lingering, and James nodded. "Ireland, then it is," James smiled, and they shouted, "IRELAND!" and they vanished as they threw down the green dust. ----------------------- "Cormac! CORMAC!" a voice cried, and Cormac looked up to see his mother...and worst of all, Susan's mother. They seemed worried to be there. Cormac crawled out of the small fireplace, and he helped James out. "Goodness, what are you two doing here?" his mother asked, whacking the dust off both of their clothes as Susan's mom laughed. "Where's Susan? And Diana?" Susan's mother asked. "They're...they're at school," Cormac lied, and Susan's mother smiled and nodded. "That's good," her mother said, a suspicious glint in her eyes. Cormac smiled convincngly and smiled. He turned to James, who was looking around the cottage with wonder. "Oh yes," Cormac said, remembering his manners. "This is James." "Oh!" Susan's mother said, smiling and outstretching her hand. "I've heard so much about you through Susan..." "It's a pleasure to meet you," James said back politely, and Cormac's mom outstretched her hand politely as well, James shaking it with his dusty hands. "Mum, we need to borrow your boat," Cormac said, and before his mother could answer, Cormac and James were out the door and down the front stairs. |
