As Halloween was approaching, the weather was slowly becoming cooler, moods were becoming cheerful, and studies were becoming lighter.
Ginny was in the Gryffindor common room hidden behind an armchair, finishing the last few senterces of her Charms essay. She heard footsteps coming down the concrete stairs that led up to the girl's dormitory and also another pair of footsteps entering the common room from the portrait hole.
"Oh, hey Sabrina."
Ginny recognized Harry's voice immediately. Sabrina must have been the one coming downstairs and Harry the one who came in. She smiled and was just about to turn around so they could see her when...
"Harry, I need to speak with you," Sabrina said seriously.
"Alright, well, I'm free to talk," Harry replied.
"I'm just gonna' come right out and say it. Harry, I like you. I like you a lot. I have ever since last year but couldn't find the courage to tell you."

Ginny's stomach felt like someone was twisting it like a wet rag in attempt to wring the water out of it. Her eyes filled with tears, stinging like needles.
Harry pulled back from Sabrina.
"What are you-"
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Ginny standing there, stunned.
"Ginny..." he whispered as a tear fell from her eye.
She couldn't hold the tears back now. She dashed out of the common room, letting water droplets pour down her cheeks.
"Ginny!" she heard Harry call after her but she ignored him and continued running. She didn't know where she was going. All she knew was that she had to keep running...
