my class just got canceled because my spanish professor is a flake.
sooo i decided to update xanga.
i read the school newspaper today and i found out the 2002 national spelling bee champion is a freshman at duke and his brother Akshay Budddiga is the guy that fainted on espn! hahaha
second semester has been alright.
I like my classes but my study habits ..or lack thereof.. still suck.
sometimes i am ashamed to let ppl know this, but i've been tenting in
kryzewskiville since january. it's a big part of duke tradition and i
love demarcus nelson and i thought EH it's my freshman year, why not. i
also won an "ultimate kville tent" from a random trivia/drawing thing
so i knew it was a sign..hahah
so, for people who dont know ..crazy ppl here at duke like to form
groups of 12 to tent outside in kville to go to the maryland and unc
game. my tent originally consisted of 9 guys and 3 girls including me..
one person has to be in the tent at all times during the day and eight
people have to sleep there at night. so our tent captain makes a
schedule and we take shifts... there are random tent shifts at 3 in the morning, 6am, anytime. it was so fun at first. imagine eight
friends tightly enclosed all night. a big slumber party every night...
haha. but then it started to get cold. and then it started to rain. and
then it snowed. usually, if it gets below a certain temperature they
give us grace and we go back to our rooms. but one night, we had to
sleep in the snow because they wouldn't call grace. it was miserable.
there is wireless internet so ppl bring laptops and lanterns to study... occasionally, the basketball players come out and give us pizza.. haha. and closer to the unc game OKGO will give a concert in kville and coach k will come out and give a speech..
yea yea duke lost two times in a row. blah blah 
i wish i had actual pictures of the tent and kville... but this is basically what it looks like.
