MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

yay for famliy and holidays!

so it's been a while...can't really say my life has been uber eventful.  i was in a bit of a downer phase when i wrote that last blog, but everything's a lot better now...i'm still a little nervous about grades but not like i was before.  finals are coming up very soon so there's always that, but i'm not extremely nervous like i was before...but that may change lol. 

so thursday was thanksgiving...i hope everyone had a great day!!  i went home tuesday night...took me almost 3 hours because someone decided to catch their car on fire on 441 20 minutes from campus and stop traffic for 30 minutes so that's pretty much what took me so long.  everything else was just traffic.  tuesday night i went with ashley, liz, and vinny to see "casino royale" (my second time).  it's really good, but ashley said it was too boring for a bond movie...but i don't really watch bond movies so i thoroughly enjoyed it...mmm daniel craig...sorry.  wednesday i got to sleep in and see megan.  i don't get to see her nearly as much as i get to see everyone else, so when i get to see her, it's always good times.  thursday we drove to chatanooga like last year, but unlike last year, we didn't leave my dad at home with internal bleeding and ulcers (we didn't know!!!!).  a LOT of my mom's family was there, most of whom we don't get to see that often so that was fun.  got to see some cousins that i haven't seen in over 2 years, including a new cousin who was just a teeny baby when we last saw her...but she's absolutely adorable, as are her brother and sister.  got to see my cousin leigh ann who i haven't seen in a loooooooooooong time 'cause she was living in hawaii as a travel nurse (i know how cool is that???) for a while, and we just can't drive 8 hours all that often to visit people.  we had to spend the night in a hotel because my aunt had like 11 people staying in her house and there were just too many people and not enough room.  friday we had family brunch in tn and were back in alphie by 4.  tried to get a new camera on sale but they were sold out...bastards.  last night ashley and donna came over and we watched the "titanic the musical" dvd that my mom was in...it was pretty good but you couldn't hear a lot of the speaking dialogue and the camera guy basically refused to zoom in on people, so you couldn't really see who was doing what anyway.  but i enjoyed it 'cause let's face it...if i can hear the music, i'm a happy camper.  then ashley's friend david came over and we went to friday's (on friday...how convenient) and met up with melissa for a little bit.  then we went to ashley's house and watched "memoirs of a geisha" and it was really good...we missed the beginning though so i'll have to watch that sometime.  my parents got me an ab lounge so i'm definitely gonna try to work that in so that i can get in better shape before christmas.  we didn't have time to put up any christmas decorations because i had to be back here in milly at 6 for duty...making good use of my time lol...um...so yeah, it's really boring here because no one's really here...and i think i got my 2 year old cousin's cold 'cause i'm starting to feel a sore throat coming on.  oh well.

sorry that was so long...sometimes i just get really long winded haha...but again, i hope everyone had a great thanksgiving break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WARNING!  semi-long post follows as i haven't updated in over a month.

so i'm sitting here studying for my criminal justice test and i just came to a sudden realization: i have no idea what i'm doing with my life or what i'm going to do when i get out of school.  classes aren't going so well...i've pretty much resigned myself to getting a C in physio, and if i didn't do well on the research methods test i had yesterday, i'll probably get a C in there too...and this test tomorrow in criminal justice basically decides whether or not i get a C in there too...and my gpa can NOT handle 3 C's...it just can't.  it can probably handle too, but not 3, and if i lose HOPE my parents will kill me...i don't know what to do about that...just study my ass off i guess.  just registered for classes for next semester today and it didn't take the normal 45 minutes...thank god for junior status...oh yeah, that's another thing...i'm going to be a senior at the end of this semester and that totally makes me nauseous.  i don't plan on graduating early but it kind of seems like a waste if all i'm gonna do is take electives, but who knows.  oh yeah...i got into ODK, Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society, so that was a high point of the week.  it's a real honor and it looks really good on resumes and whatnot.  my mom was in a play the past 2 weekends..."titanic the musical".  i know, i know it sounds hokey but it was really amazing.  even my dad liked it, and he hates that kind of thing.  we had our band concert last week and auditions for pep band...of course i got in haha.  we started that this week and it's really shaping up to be a really good group.  i just recently rearranged my room 'cause i get bored really easily with things like that and i'm not too sure how i feel about it, but i'll make it work.  i'm going home this weekend for melissa's 21st, so i'm really excited about that, but i have to come back to milly saturday night because corey got a few of us from brass ensemble a paying gig at a church on sunday morning.  so i guess overall everything's technically not that bad, but this whole class thing is stressing me out for real...i can't have three C's...i just can't.  ARGH!!!
