Taiwan Trip 17/06/08 to 24/06/08I am back from Taiwan but was lazy to upload all the pictures and stuffs yesterday. Haha! I was fun in Hualien but a bit boring at Taipei because Taipei is just like another Singapore. I was surprise that the people there are so law by law and friendly. What I mean law by law? When I was taking the escalator, all the people who don't wish to walk up/down, will automatically stand on one side so that another side will be express lane. I was impressed because I cannot see it in Singapore. Althought some time I may see some are doing it, but some straight on the right and some stand on the left. But in Taipei they ALL stand to one side. Of cos, there exception. They also don't like to Jay walk, I think is because the traffic condition is really dangerous. I don't like the traffic there because even when you cross the traffic light, you still have to look up for the motorcars and cars, because they will drive pass you when they are turning left/right even when the red light is on. Super irritating right? Of cos, they don't dare to do it when they are driving straight. The food there don't really suit my taste. Some are so oily and some got a werid taste which I don't like. I tried their mee xian, bacially I think all taste the same la. Haha! I wonder how come the Ah Zhong mee xian is so famous. I like the Shilin Mee Xian that sold in Singapore. The taste is different but my Piggy tan said he like the Mee Xian that sold in Rao He Night Market. For the Super BIG fried chicked, taste exactly the same as the Shilin in Singapore. Haha! So you don't have to fly to there and try. I ate twice and all were breast meat. The chilli power is very nice. I think because of the power that make the fried chicked really nice. The KTV there are so GOOD! I like it so much. I will upload the photo and you will know why is it so good!!! The price also very reasonable at night. Unlike ***KTV in Singapore. Hai~ I wonder why must them charge us so much. Earn more money also don't have to raise the price so much right? If there charge lesser, I think more people will go and they will earn more lor! Reached Taiwan. Bought a pre paid sim card and I have my taiwan mobile. Haha! I can call anyone I like. Hehe! 
Reached Taipei at around 540pm. The Vending machine in Taipei Airport.
We took Free Go bus to Nei Jiang Hotel. Free Go - NT 140 per person.  
We took a coach first.
Then we changed to a bus to Nei Jiang Hotel.
The Rate in Nei Jiang hotel is quite reasonable for budget traveller but we felt "a bit cheated" because we actually booked the cheapest hotel but in the end, they gave us the second cheapest room and the room looked like the cheapest room loR! So this part we are not very happy about it. So next time when you are booking the hotel, is better to ask for the confirmation a few days before you leave Singapore to Taiwan. So you won't be so shock when they suddenly give you another price of room. They include breakfast but the breakfast is the same everyday. Haha! So if you stay there for more than a week, I think you will feel sick la. It's a sandwich with a pack of drinks. The overall rating is still quite okay because is located very near the MRT and is at Ximenting. We reached the hotel at around 830pm. Went to bought a Cripy Fried Chicked and Piggy tan like it very much but I don't like it because is full of oily! So oily. We settled our bags and stuffs and went to Shilin Night Market for the first night.

Reached Shilin (Jian Tan Station) and bought another Fried chicked. Breast meat, so I ate a few bite and I gave it to my Piggy tan. The skin is different from the chicken I bought earlier. This is more "power"? Don't know how to describe. Haha! The Bubble tea there aer so cheap and the cup is much BIGGER than Singapore one. I think is around $1.50. The drinks is nice and the pearl is nice too! Basically is GOOD LA! We shop a bit and bough 2 shirts at the first night. Very cheap 2 for only NT300. So is around $14 a shirts. Super cheap la. Went back at around 1130pm to catch the las train back. Have to wake up super early for the trip to Hualien on Day 2. 12am: End of the day. Bough a cup of beef cup noodles from 7 eleven. Haha! So many people intro it. I like the noodles but not the beef. Day 2 (18/06/08) 
Wake up at around 8am. because super tired. Actually planed to wakt up at around 7am one. Haha! Too Sleepy la! Then in the end, we took the next train to Hualien. Actually we felt a bit stupid to book Nei Jiang at the first night, I think is better to book the hotel near the taipei main station and find a super cheap one. Haha! Nei Jiang is cheap but not the cheapest. On the way to Hualien. Taking the rail way train to Hualien. 4 hours train. Sianz. Sleeping time. \

Scenery along the way. We stay in MinSu. So the auntie came to station and fetch us. Reached Hualien at around 1pm. I forgotten the exact timing already but is a long trip la. Personally I think is better to stay near the train station because Hualien city is quite small. So you can take taxi to travel around Hualien city. I think is not that expensive overall. The price that we stay in the Minsu and afford us to stay in the much cheaper minsu and then use the rest of the money to travel around and is more flexible. I think will have will have some money left. Hai~ A bit regret to stay in the minsu cos I thought the auntie will take us to more places but in the end, we suit her timing more. I don't want to say out which minsu as I don't want to offend any one. Of cos there are some good part la. Went to Ocean once we settled our Bags and stuffs. 
Reached ocean park at around 2pm. I thought we are not going to finish it but in the end we cover everything before the ocean park close. The opening hours is from morning(forgotten what is the timing) to 5pm. I took the free ticket from the taiwan association. Haha! Saved S$40 ove. 
Went to see the Mei Ren Tu Show. Super cute la!  
Before we went in. The background is super nice right? I like so much lor. So green and blue. Haha! The weather there were SUPER HOT. I was sweating lor! 
So cute right? They actually put the chair there for us to act like a Mi Ren Yu. Haha! So nice and Cute! I saw a girl actually posed like a mermaid. I don't dare. Very peiseh. Haha!

All the small fishes are so beautiful. Know why the fish named Mermaid. From the person who introduce, is because last time, when the fish came up from the ocean and lie on the sea side to feed their baby, the people was it and they looked like a woman breast feeding their kids. So named them Mermaid. Mei Ren Yu. I don't know how true is it la. You know how they sleep? They use their lung to breath one, so they need to change their breathe. So when they sleep, they sleep in the water, so after some time, they have to wake up and go up to change their breathe. So troublesome. The person told us that most of the mermaid died mainly because the being knocked down by the ship when they are changing the breathe. So sad lor. Can't the ship see that there are fishes infront of them?

I think the Dolphine swimed really good and the show is very nice. They can lift their trainer up ON THE WATER. Of cos the trainer used the Dophine to support them to stand up. I think the feeling should be very GOOD. I was impressed by it.

We went back at around 5pm. Super tired after all the travelling and stuffs. We went to eat the BBQ shop for dinner. Didn't take any photo. The food is still quite okay. Then we went to see their cuture dance.

We were asked onto the stage. Super peiseh. At first we are super unwilling to go up one. Hai~ Sianz. Before we sleep, the auntie gave us some watermelon. It's so sweet and juicy! I cannot buy back because the water melon IS SUPER BIG! Too Heavy for me to bring back but is really very nice. 10pm: End of the day. Need to rest. So tired. Day 3 (19/06/08) Went to rafting. Didn't take any photo cos cannot bring any eletronics things scard that is will spolit. Anyway, it was fun but not very exicting. Should have more exciting area. Haha! I drop into the water twice. The feeling is good. the second time I thought I am going to die cos I cannot breath. I kept on struggling and in the end, I was saved. Hehe! The exprience is good but I my skin got hurted. Sun burn despite put on alot of sun block lotion. Sianz. I am super tan now. After rafting we went to the near by beach. The scenery is very nice. The sea water is super blue in colour. Very clean beach.

We went to put the fire cracker! Haha! This is the first time and I was so scare lor! I bought S$40 over dollars fire crackers lei! It's so expensive! The auntie told ask is already the cheapest. I wonder. Can you see my leg and hand? Super tan right? Haha!

We went to Hualien city for our dinner and shop for awhile.

The Dumpling there is REALLY VERY NICE! The sauce is VERY GOOD! I wonder will I ever eat it in Singapore. Hai~ Sad case. I miss the dumpling. 10pm: End of the day. I think the people there sleep very early. Cos we always back to the minsu before 1030pm. Day 4 (20/06/08) Whale watching day! We were so excited about it. Wake up pack our things as we are not going back to the minsu after that. We went straight back to Taipei.

Didn't see any Whale as you will be lucky if you see it. So we don't expect to see any Whale but we saw Dolphine. Haha! Very cute one. A bit boring. Not as fun as what I thought as you will see the Dolphine for awhile only. So actually you are paying money to take the ship only. Haha! Piggy Tan got sea sick. I got a bit but not very serious.

We went to buy some muack ji to bring back and eat our lunch near by as we got quite some time before out train come. The Chilli made my noodle taste really good. 
Piggy Tan was packing his bag. We were going back to Taipei. We reach Taipei at around 3pm and head to Mei Xuan Hotel as no more room in Nei Jiang as we booked last mins. So we always pack and unpack from hotel to hotel. It's tiring. Not recomended when you are travelling. Unless you are bag traveller as you have to go places to places. We went out to Wu Fen Wu and Rao He Night Market. The shopping area! Reached Hou Shan Pi station and head to Wu Fen Pu at around 530pm. Wu Fen Pu is like a Big Bugis to me. So I didn't walk much because I don't like the clothes there. So I bought only a few clothes and a BIG BAG which is cheap and head to Rao He Night Market. On the way to there, I went to watson and wanted to buy the red wine mask that Da S introduce but I couldn't find it. So sad. then I helped my cousin to buy some Wo De Mei Li Ri Ji Mask. I also bought some for myself. Haha! Going to try it at night.

This one very fun. Need to throw the balls at the screen. Just like the gun game we played in Singapore. So instead of using the guns, we used the balls. All are mini games.  
We ate Ba Gu Teh there. Not much meat. Alot of Bone. Haha! The Soup is quite nice. We went back to hotel at around 10pm to catch the Xin Guang Da Dao. Haha! Then do the Red Wine mask that I bought earlier. Didn't feel anything after I applied, maybe need to use it more often but is expensive. So not going to buy more of it. 1pm: End of the Day 4. Day 5 (21/06/08) Wak up at around 9am, we checked out hotel as we are changing our hotel to Nei Jiang. So tiring. Keep on changing the hotels because I was carrying super heavy bags. Haha! We reached the Nei Jiang at around 10am, we put our bag there and went off because we couldn't check in the hotel before 2pm. So we went to have our breakfast at Ding Tai Feng. I saw alot of people went to eat that at Taiwan, so I also wanted to try out. See how nice is the food. For the service, I think is the best I ever see but they are a bit over. They keep on checking on the things that you have ordered served, and keep on walking around. So a bit headache. Haha!

That's why my piggy wanted to to go. The weather is hot, so we did not go for long. We went there for about 2 hours plus. Actually is consider quite long already. Haha! Don't ever ask me to go there during the summer time. I will faint.

We took Miao Kong Back to Taipei Zoo station. At around 330pm. we went off and head back to the hotel and check. Not feeling very safe to put our bags at the hotel. After we checked in, we bathe and rest. We went out only after 630pm! Super late. So we missed out CKS. We did not went there for the whole trip. Haha! Super lazy and the we cannot tahan the weather there la. I think is even "hotter" than Singapore! We went to eat a Japanese food nead the MRT, quite expensive, and the food that I want, sold out and I bought another dish that tasted normal. Hai~ Piggy's one tasted better.

We take the MRT to Long Shan Temple. We went there for awhile only cos piggy just wanted to take some photos only. So we went off after 30mins. 
Then we head to Taipei 101. Again, 101 tower is going to close. Haha! We reached there at 9 plus, and it close at 10pm. We we only get to eat the icecream there and went off.

I am playing piano? In your dream. I am not that daring! We went to Shilin again to bus some clothes cos the clothes there are nice. 11pm: End of Day 5. Lazy day. Actually planned to go KTV, again, too tired. Haha! Day 6 (22/06/08): Planed to go to Jiu Fen but wake up too late, missed the train, in the end, decided to go to, Ximenting for Lunch, head to Tian Mu , and Dan Shui + Yu Ren Ma Tou for today.    
We eat our lunch at a bbq cum steam boat resturant. 2 persons for around NT 960. More expensive than the Ding Tai Feng. Haha! I like the most in the restuarant is the Hagen Daz ICECREAM! Free flow one! Super nice lor! I eat quite alot of ice cream, if I want to go back again is because of the icecream lor!  
At Ximenting, Xiao Jing Teng was there! Haha! So I bought his CD actually planned to let him sign one but I didn't not get the number plate. I reached quite early and I see no people one even 3 hours before, then I went to eat. I don't know need to the the number plate to be infront. Hai~ So regret la. So after awhile, we went off and went to Tian Mu. We take train to Shipai station and take a bus to Tian Mu. Remember the Liu Xing Hua Yuan, got a scene that show Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si eat at a car theme resturant? We went there! The restaurant located a Tian Mu. The restaurant name is PS Bu Bu. You have to call and reserve a place there if you want to sit inside the car. We did not call, so we allocate to those normal table. Haha! The Drinks and Food are quite expensive, so we only ordered 2 cups of drinks. Haha!

I think this is the place where Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si Sit. Haha! Then we shop awhile there because those shops located there are mostly those sport brand. I bought a t-shirt there. Haha! very nice.

The Bridge at night. I leave the place at around 8pm. It's still early, so piggy tan suggest to go to the underground city mall. I went to change my clothes to the t-shirt I bought earlier. Super comfortable. The things there are cheap and nice. I bought a number of tshirt there for my studies. Haha! I think average, I bought S$5 per t-shirt.

Went to tabao some Mac to the hotel. The sauce costed us NT5. Haha! The MC don't have chilli sauce one. So next time, need to remember to bring some there. Haha! I wonder why they dont eat chilli. At around 1030pm, we head back to hotel. We went back to bathe and rest for awhile and this time, we really went to KTV for 4 hours from 12am to 4am!!! Happening right? Haha! The KTV package there is really cheaper than Singapore and the Service is good. Around S$20 plus per person, free flow plain water, sweets and 2 food on your choice. I think is NT299 per person(package) and then we have to order one choice of food at NT80. Even if we did not order the order, NT80 also have to be charge. So, we order an ice cream and a bowl of noodles. Overall is still cheap and the KTV have build in TOILET! So good right? I always went to toilet very often during KTV because I drink alot. The micro phone also have a cover lor! They change all the cover for every new group of people.

Can you see the top left hand corner? Haha! For a cartoon will ask you to Jia You when you sing out of tune and will said hao ban when you sing well. Very cute right? In the end, the highest I get is 85. Same with Piggy. 
Jia You Jia You! Sleep like a pig when we reach hotel. So tired! 4am: End of Day 6. Happening day. Tired. Day 7(23/06/08): Today, we are planning to go Jiu Fen. We were very determine because alot of people said that Jiu Fen is a place that is very recommended to go. Second this! Jiu Fen sell alot of wooden thing. I bought some presents for my friends there. Haha! Very nice. 
Before we head to Jiu Fen, we went to try out the Ah Zhong Mian Xian.
I found a bubble tea that I like it very much! When you are very hot, you can buy from that shop. Super cooling. I tried their Honey Green Tea without pearl. I like it so much la! Piggy said their milk tea is very nice. It's located near the Ah Zhong Mee Xian.
We went to buy the Taipei Main Stain and bought tickets to Ruifang Station. The person we gave us the ticket made us really piss because she allocate the seat at DIFFERENT box lor! So irritating la! Then we have to be seperated. We thought that the train is full, then when I reached my seats, so many empty seats infront of me lor! I wonder why she seperated us. Made us felt so irritated la! Next time, when you go there, you have to see the seats number, if not happy, point to the person who issue the ticket to you directly! In the end, I chat with the girl siting beside me and they were having the same situation again! Sitting at different box. Haha! Nevermind, I chat with her throught out the 40 mins of train ride. 
Reached Ruifang station at around 2pm, and we take a bus to Jiu Fen. We bought a Bento at the platform.

So we just went there for awhile and went off. Before that, we went to eat the so call "food court" there and I went to drink the soup at Ding Tai Feng AGAIN! Haha! but this time, don't taste as good as the first time. So did not buy the third time. The second time then I know they put the pig blood in the soup made me don't feel like drinking again. 
We went to eat the Ramen at Zhong Xiao Fu Xing. The thing that I hold is a device that will inform me when my noodles is ready, so I don't have to wait there. So good right?

Their japanese restaurant's door is made of paper one. Haha! It's still early, so we went to Shilin the last time! Haha! We shop and eat there. I went to the dog shop this time, Taiwanese like the teddy bear dog alot. I saw some a few people brought their teddy bear dog out. It's really cute la! Ate my very last Fried Chicken in Shilin, tabao back to hotel and eat. 
Forgot what is the name of this but it's nice. I tried their smelly tofu there, taste like those spolit tofu. I wonder how come people like it. Haha! I also tried their popiah, hmm, taste weird, don't like it. 11pm: End of the day. Went back to the hotel and pack our things as we will check out the hotel in the morning. Haha! Day 8 (24/06/08): Last day in Taiwan, we wake up at around 11am. Super late because too tired. Haha! Luckily we packed our bag the day before, so we check were there are left over things and check out the hotel. We went to do the refund for our ezlink card. NT100 for the card and get the remaining value. Then piggy suggested to eat beef soup noodles. He eat alone because I don't eat beef one. I just eat some noodles.

Then after we finished, we wanted to head to Ximenting and do last min shopping. We missed our way. Haha! We walked quite a big round to reach Ximenting. Haha! Then I was super hot, then we went to buy the bubble tea that I like very much. So Cooling. I like the drinks. Then we went to eat their KFC. The BBQ chicken is super nice lor! I tabao 2 of it. Haha! So nice.
