| I have campfire heather! Thank you so much Karen! I've actually had it for awhile, but have been a little busy working on some precious and adorable things:
Just one of these^, but she's # 7 in our family. She's well loved, and adores to cuddle, so I get a bit of knitting done while she sleeps, but not a lot. :)
We ended up with 8 of these being born, and 2 died, so we now have 6 kids scampering about the barn. They are Nubian/Boer crosses. The two in the pictures will end up being breeding stock and the other 4 will go in our freezer in the fall. Forest Path Stole is making progress, but my camera batteries are dead. I am halfway through tier 20 now, and I started slogging up the right side. I started that before I was offered three skeins of campfire heather last month so I'd know how long I could make the shawl. I'm using the first of those offered skeins now, so I terribly glad that she offered! I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow! |

| Karen who left me a comment earlier this week-PLEASE if you read this, contact me ASAP through here. I DO still need 3 skeins of Knitpicks Shadpw Campfire Heather. They sent me Sunset Heather instead. WAH! I am VERY interested in purchasing those skeins and I will even pay above the retail you paid-double cost. I came to do my update.........and found a comment from someone that has some skeins of the yarn I am looking for. I am starting tier 19 this week and am going slowly since I received my knit picks package and she misunderstoof me and sent Sunset instead of Campfire. Boohoo again!!!!! no pictures-my good camera is in for repairs and my older digi cam has dead dead dead batteries. I hope to post a pic of progress tomorrow! |

| HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Knitpicks had skeins of Shadow Campfire Heather still in stock even though they no longer offer it on the 'net. They are sending me 3 hanks today! I can finish my FPS!!!!!!!! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy! LOL I'll post pics later next week of progress. I think my fingers will fly with joy that I will be able to finish it. She DID warn me that the dye lots most likely are not the same. I think that with the nature of the pattern, a mild change in dye lot will be okay-even perhaps if I had to overdye it once I get done. That wouldn't be so bad to make it a slightly darker shade of that orange. We'll see what happens when it arrives. Whoo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
