Tier 17

I'm about to start Tier 17 and I'm abaout to die. I only have TWO hanks left, and I haave 7 tiers, plus the sides and end to go. Knitpicks doesn't sell Campfire Heather anymore. I've got an e-mail in to them asking if they MIGHT have any tucked away somewhere. So far the only response I've gotten is a form e-mail telling me that it could take 2 to 7 business days for them to get back to my e-mail. AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!

I DID buy enough to finish the project, but I hve one little problem-my kittens have as discrimnating a taste as *I* do-they ONLY play with merino lace weight wools. Urph.

Any ideas? I still have several hanks of Maple Leaf left-it's that very stripey lace weight I started the FPS in last February. I could do the edges in it? But I just don't know how that would look. I could do two more tiers, wait, 3 more-get to Tier 20 and finish it off.

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrated by this. I've now started this thing THREE times! The Maple Leaf, the white and now Campfire Heather. I could finish it now and give it to my kidlets to play with? Urgh. Give it to someone in a wheelchair to use to cover their legs?

Crying 2

Here's the progress:

raceways and lace 007

Meanwhile.......one baby blanket finished for a friend's daughter who is expecting sometime this month. Fingerless glove completed for Tinkerbell, who had her funky diagnosis that means we MUST keep her extermeties warm. Getting ready to start the Project Spectrum challenges......the element of Fire for the next 2 months-reds,oranges, yellows I guess?

I have yellows to work on in the form of dishcloths, one shrug I've been working on FOREVER in what is supposed to BE Flame by Lorna's Laces-a Lion and Lamp worsted weight blend, and a clapotis cap in bittersweet by Lorna's Laces.

I'm just BUMMING over the loss of 2 skeins of the Campfire heather. I am PRAYING they've got one or two more stashed away still that I can buy. Or do you all know anyone that MIGHT have even end pieces of it?

Hi!  I just found your blog through one of the knitting blogrings.

You've been knitting for just over half a year and you're already working on projects like these (e.g. complicated ones)? lol   You're awesome!!  Good for you!

I've been knitting for a year now and I'm just starting to be able to fix my own stupid mistakes!

Okay... I see now.  You've actually been knitting for about 20 months or so, I see.  But still!  Great job!

I stumbled upon your website today and notice that as of  Feb. 1 you had a shortage of Knit Picks Shadow Campfire Heather yarn for finishing your Forest Path Stole.  I happen to have 3 skeins of that yarn on hand - lot #66229.  If you still have a need for the yarn, you are welcome to contact me.
