Get to voting now!!!

"The Houston Community College board of trustees has unanimously
approved an order to call an election for the annexation of the Alief
community into the HCC district. The HCC trustees put the issue of
annexation on the Nov. 4 ballot after receiving 5,886 signatures from
registered Alief voters — over 1,000 more than required. If the measure
passes, HCC will provide a return to the Alief community of $5.10 on
every $1 of taxes invested in the district. The HCC tax rate is just over 9
cents per $100 valuation. For the average Alief home, that would amount
to an annual tax of $115.92. Currently, 6,600 Alief residents are enrolled
at HCC campuses throughout the district. If Alief voters agree to join the
district, a potential 10,000 additional residents will be able to take HCC
courses at 50 percent of the current tuition, saving a full-time student
about $1,600 for two semesters."

So don't forget to pass on the words... have your family and friends in
Alief area to vote for this issue on the ballot. Make sure you look at the
end of the ballot for this section. Ask about this before voting, so you
don't miss it.

new feelings.

Back at home; I've been traveling for the last month to release some stresses and take out time to figure out things. I must get things going if i want to see those dreams come true. So no more excuses, no more delay, just GET IT GOING.

a new beginning.

the other day, one of my girlfriends let me borrow a book so called He's not that into YOU. After reading the book, i realized all the things i already know about guys and just my perspective in relationship has been washed away due to my stupidity at times. =) It's great to have something to refresh that mindset and mentality I used to had.

I'm smiling again. Focusing on work, family, friends, Aaron, WAVE, and whatever else matter to me MOST. Its good to be back and knowing exactly what to DO next.

anyways, been networking a lot here in Houston due to WORK. Trying to build the same or better foundation that i did when i was in Austin. As a social butterfly always, i find myself going out a lot meeting new people and building new friendships and maintain the one i already had. WORK is letting me relax yet challenging enough. =)

on the road.

bus crash in Sherman, TX

It's been 5 yrs since the last time i went to Marian Days in Missouri. My reason in going this year was to give thanks pray, and rebuilding my faith with GOD. This might be the same for many.

My family and I left Houston on wednesday evening and arrived in Missouri the next morning. Marian Days this year was not the same.

Many of you already know about the crash through the media that night, for me i heard it at 5am through the speakers while sleeping under my tent. The news at first didn't really hit me, it was so vague in my mind.
Later find out the people on the bus were far relatives of my family, whoms i known for years, friends of parents, and some i worked with through church functions. They all were like family.
It's painful to find out the names...and the numbers as it rises every hour of that day.

The phone calls and txt messages from friends and love ones concerning if i was on that bus were touching. Thank you.

alone. "my love which may never be complete, the wound that may never heal"

I am now having doubts about everything, even my own destiny. A lot of things have changed in the last few months (especially few days ago where i sat there and think to myself)...Don't know what happened but all i know is that everything went wrong. Maybe it was for the best but that fact doesn't leave me feeling any better. I lost the person who i for the first time let my heart do its job in loving and care for.

REASON? it's because i lost control over myself... i let my ego go so high up that once i got drop no one was there to catch me. And that i am alone to deal with my mistakes. Its funny how i always tell myself that i am strong and that nothing can hurt me. Yet, for the first time i'm happy to say that i am not STRONG. That for the first time i am okay feeling hurt, feeling sad.

Talk about logic...I know it takes two to tango, and it takes two to end things. But for some reason i felt as though if i didnt do the things i did then everything would be okay and i wouldn't regrets the thing i didnt do.That depresses me too much sometimes...even though i try not to, i still do. Even though i have accepted the fact that he is not going to come back, inside i still wait for him... hoping that this nightmare would go away...

So, i've decided. Searching for a new place to go. hopefully something comes up. Maybe there will be a fresh start there, where i can set my mind free.

Some of you, my close friends, might think i am "weaksauce" for running away. But then again... an escape could help me heal my wound. Please note, i will never change the Uyenvy that you know...i just want to make her a better person.

Sorry for being emo lately girls (you know who u are). I'm glad to have you girls there to talk to me, to comfort me, and to give me your opnions. It's time to take my own advices and to seek my own opportunities so that i can determine what i want and what is my destiny.

It's that time again.
